Dr. Don Hartsfield, a general dentist, graduated in 1970 from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. After serving in the infantry of the U.S. Army, Dr. Hartsfield worked in the petrochemical industry in Dallas and Houston. In 1979, on an Army scholarship. he graduated from the University of Texas Dental School in Houston with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. In 1980, Dr. Hartsfield did his General Practice Residency with the U.S. Army at Eisenhower Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. After serving at Ft. Hood for three years, in 1983, he opened his private general/family practice in Austin. He and his wife Dorothy began Lone Star Orthodontics in February, 2006. He is married, has four children and three grandchildren. He enjoys time with his family, tennis, golf, hiking and …camping and is passionate in serving his church and using his talents on dental mission trips.
