Dr. Donald William Bendig, MD

Medical Director of the CHOC Children's Hospitalist Program as well as PSF Chief of the Hospitalist Division. Dr. Bendig is certified in both pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology. He attended medical school at University of California, Irvine and completed his pediatric residency at UC Irvine Medical Center and Children's Hospital of Orange County. He completed his pediatric Chief Residency at CHOC and his pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas. He has written multiple chapters and has many publications in the pediatric literature. He won the CHOC in-patient award in 2005. He has been a Pediatric Hospitalist at CHOC since 1995 and after 26 years is no longer practicing Pediatric GI. He enjoys working with the Medical Students and Pediatric Residents and is proud of what the PSF Hospitalist Division has become.
