Dr. Donald Christopher Brennan

My wife was Dr. Brennen's patient for years because she has had breast cancer and she and I told Dr. Brennen that there was cancer in the immediate family and yet he did not explain or even mention genetic counseling to us even though we had informed him that my wife's father has had breast cancer which is really rare in men and now I know is a tell-tale sign of genetic mutation like BRCA1 and 2. If Brennen had explained it to us and referred my wife for genetic testing, my wife would be alive today. Please don't trust any doctor completely and do your own research before going to a doctor and make sure to go to a well-informed and careful one and not someone like Brennen!

After just one visit and a few blood tests Dr. Brennan diagnosed the true severity of a disease I knew I had, and a cancer I had no idea I had. He spent hours and hours reviewing my medical records (from Kaiser...but that's another story!) and referred me to Stanford where my tumor was successfully zapped. I was reviewed and listed for transplant in just a few months. As it turns out there is other cancer, and the prognosis now is not so good. But I can't say enough about Dr. Brennan as a diagnostician and as a diligent doctor. Alas, he has recently decided to retire. We may not see his kind again!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Donald Brennan for several years, and he's just the best!!! He'll take his time with you, is interesting, and interested in his patients as well. He is thorough, gentle, and just a very sweet, sweet gentleman and good family man. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a good hematologist, who is looking for someone with an old fashioned sense of integrity, strong intelligence and a wonderful bedside manner!

I have had Dr. Brennan as an oncologist for five years. He has always spent time explaining things clearly to me. He is a very caring doctor who is keeps abreast with latest treatments.
