Dr. Donald John Brust, MD

This Doctor is from Fort Lauderdale Florida. He had to leave Florida because he had problems there. You can look him up on the internet. This Doctor will do anything or say anything as long as it gets his pay. He will smile at you but he knows that he's not treating you with the right medication. He will know the symptoms yet you still won't get treated correctly. Go to this Doctor but make sure you fill out your will first.

Went in for a colonoscopy and endoscopy ended up in urgent care a few days later. Found air in my bladder, I've spent the past month waiting for other tests. Still waiting for diagnosis and relief. Don't feel comfortable seeing Dr.Brust again.

After seeing Dr Brust recently, I’ve been compelled to write a review. For me, first impressions of a new doctor are paramount. From his asst. Ryan, to everyone associated, my visit with Dr. Brust was far above my expectations. I am very pleased with the care he has given me, and I seem to be improving with my condition that led me to him in the first place. I would absolutely recommend this Dr. I am not looking forward to always seeing him. But, I am very comforted to know that I will be in outstanding hands with his professional care and his genuine concern for my good health when that time does come again. Seeing a Dr. is not always a good thing, but, my faith and trust with Dr. Brust will ease my mind greatly.

Dr Brust was the best gastro among the group at Holy Cross and had left the group. Does someone know where he works now?

Thank you Dr. Brust for exceptional customer service! My experience started with you and your staff started a month ago when I visited you for the pre-op appointment. All, very efficient and follow-up before the procedure was spot-on. Yesterday, you performed my procedure and I must say that I was extremely impressed with you personally pushing my gurney hospital bed from the waiting area to the room where you performed my procedure. This never happened in prior procedures that I had performed by other gastro specialists. I would highly recommend you, your office staff and Holy Cross Medical Group for your exceptional service.

DR BURST IS AN EXCELLENT PHYSICIAN

Very pleased with Dr. Brust as my doctor and would recommend him and his staff to everyone looking for medical help from a gastroenterologist.

The first visit in his office was actually very nice, I thought. But this doctor was horrible to me post-colonoscopy. Firstly, I told the hospital staff that I was suffering PTSD from a traumatic surgery not long before, and also that I have poor reaction to anesthesia. Nevertheless, in recovery he became very angry, yelling at me because I asked him for another option besides Miralax because it makes me cramp. He retorted, "Well, I'll just put a bag on you!" He also refused to recognize a hemorrhoid banding procedure I had less than two weeks prior _ the other doc told me it was be seen as an ulcer -0 which it was - but he insisted it was not from the banding. I did not believe him. He didn't like me questioning him.

I was surprised at some of the negative comments. I have been going to Dr Brust for about 10 yrs and wouldnt think about going to anyone else. The staff is great and Ive never had an issue getting an appt. Dr Brust spends a good deal of time answering my questions and concerns and puts me at ease. He DOES look at me when he speaks to me. Yes, occasionally he checks the computer for past experiences with me but all Drs do that. What do you think he is going to specificly remember all issues with all patients?? Thats why he has notes. I would prefer he reads them while Im there in case he wants to verify my history. Im going back to him this month and though I hate colonoscopys, I love Dr Brust and have full faith in him.

I am sure that if "Dr" Brust reads this he won't even think I was his patient. Why? Because "Dr" Brust NEVER looks at his patients. He walks in the room with a laptop in his hand and just stands there and types....never looks at his patient. When it came time for my colonoscopy/endoscopy, I was brought into the room. "Dr" Brust was sitting at his computer, once again, facing the wall. Did he ever say good morning? Did he ever say one word to me? I never even saw his face!!!!!!! Did I even get results of the test? No!!!!!! I called and was told, "oh, you're fine. Come back in 5 years." I URGE YOU TO FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR. THIS ONE SEEMS TO HAVE MISSED THE CLASS IN BEDSIDE MANNER.
