Dr. Donald Scott Burns, MD

Dr. Burns has been my doctor for a few years now, and I'm having my first child in a couple of weeks. I have no complaints at all. He's been thorough and incredibly calm throughout the entire time. He did surgery on me last year and was attentive and professional. I am very blessed to have found him.

I am beyond shocked to see some of these reviews. This sounds nothing like Dr. Burns. He is an incredible doctor who is extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. He takes the utmost care of his patients. He’s delivered both of my children and despite having some scares along the way he walked me through it and made me super comfortable the entire pregnancies. I know quite a few women who see him and all sing his praises... In fact a patient made a facebook page for his patients and there are over a hundred raving reviews on him! He’s hands down the best doctor and surgeon I’ve ever had the privilege to work with!

I put all my trust in Dr. Burns to deliver my first child and he let me down in every way possible. I had let him know the very first visit I would prefer a CSection, at 34 weeks he saw that my baby was large and said we’d most likely do a CSection and I was happy with that. The day of delivery which lasted over 24 hours, extremely long and excruciating pain. I did not receive a CSection and I was left with 4TH DEGREE tearing and my child having shoulder dystocia. I also lost a LOT of blood. My child had to be seen by a neurologist and all of this could have been avoided if he would’ve given me a CSection like we agreed on! He seemed completely out of it and did not explain anything after delivery about the shoulder dystocia, loss of blood, tearing...etc. It was the worst experience anyone could ever think of and I want to warn women! Do not go to him.

Dr. Burns is a very intelligent, straight forward doctor. He delivered my first baby and will deliver my second this year. He answers any questions directly and takes his time with his patients. I have had to wait a few times but once he begins his visit, you never feel rushed.

Dr. Burns is absolutely the best doctor I have ever seen. He truly cares for his patients and has such a good bedside manner. He is patient, always takes his time and makes sure all questions are answered. Can not say enough good things about him!

I gave this practice a low score on appt and propanessential due to he's that good and everyone is trying to get a appointment with him.

He is very nice and easy to talk to. There is never a dumb question with him and he will personally call to do follow ups. He is efficient when he does procedures and will take as much time as you need in appointments. The nurses he works with are amazing and ask about my husband when he missed one of my many appointments. He delivered my niece, nephew, and will be delivering our soon to be first child. I would strongly recommend him to anyone.

Very caring and nice!! Explains everything in very simple terms!! Is very upfront about your diagnosis and what you need to do!

Dr. Burns is an excellent doctor who goes above and beyond wit his patients. He was recently rated one of the "Best Doctors" in the area 2008 by Bestdoctors.com. He takes his time with you and give his undivded attention. Durung my last pregnancy be personally called me at home after a brief hospital stay, just to check in on me. he is very caring and puts you at ease.
