PM&R at TriHealth. Saw for over a year for back pain. Dr. Carruthers just threw pain meds at me. Denied my requests for new MRI scans of my neck and back (ruptured C6-C7, degenerative disc disease). Only took x-rays, and refused any other diagnostic tests. Prescribed me large amounts of Percocet for pain management that I became dependent on, then belittled me when I came in to renew prescription. Spent no more than 5 minutes in the room during any visit past the initial consultation. Very rude, zero bedside manner, treated me like a drug seeker despite never having narcotic prescriptions prior to dealing with him. I’d rate zero stars if possible.

No eye contact and spent all of 5 minutes in the room. With his hand on the doorknob - he seemed to be annoyed that I had questions....if it wasn't for his office staff - he would not get any stars.....

My son saw Dr Carruthers for his injury in running and he diagnosed him right away, got him into PT and knew exactly what needed to be done to get my son back on the team. I felt he was knowledgeable and spent the time needed with my son.

Terrible bedside manners and rude staff

I would choose Dr. Carruthers, because he a good doctor. He was prompt, courteous,and accurate in the diagnosis.

I am a marathon runner and have had to see Dr Carruthers for several issues over the last few years. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field. I also find him to be a very pleasant and positive doctor. I would highly recommend him as the best doc in town in his field!

I had an appt TODAY with what I thought was a specialist. Was I surprised. The assistant was great she spent time listening to my issue. My appt was at 2:45, I was called back @2:40, after assistant finished with doing her assessment, she ask that I get in a gown, Dr, came was the most non caring Dr. I have ever been to. I have spent months w neck pain headaches etc.. Had Mri before, bulging disc, bone spurs moderate to severe narrowing to multiple disc. He read my report, sd MRI not bad. pulled on my fingers ask me to raise my arms, EXAM DONE.HE NOT ONCE LET ME TALK ABOUT the pain in my upper back, I sd I have a lot headaches, his response, I don't do headaches. Sd he write script for predensone and muscle relaxer, never told me what kind of muscle relaxer, sd do therapy left the room. I waited thinking assistant was coming back, I walked out and staff had no idea what I needed ask me what I needed, I replied and sd tell me he spent 2 minutes and walked out. rep cam back sd meds… were called in, and here is where we have office for therapy, I thank the assistant foe her time why this Dr was standing there and sd to her you spent more time and was concerned that he was , I won't be back. WAS OUT THE DOOR BY 3:00,,, I will be calling the ofc manager. OH , I WORK FOR TRIHEALTH... LOL THIS WAS A JOKE ,, I WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND THIS MAN TO ANYONE

He spent no more than 2 minutes with me, didn't look at me once, and acted as if he couldn't wait to get out of the room. I cancelled my follow up appointment with him because he was the least caring doctor I had ever met.
