Dr. Donald John Chadwick II, MD

He didn’t take the time to listen to our concern nor did he review a report which was send to him ahead of time.

I am a special education teacher and have a student that engages in very significant self-injurious behavior, specifically punching himself very hard in the head 90+ times a day. The student's group home were able to get him in to see Dr. Chadwick who seemed to basically blow off all of our concerns. He showed no concern over brain damage and even commented during the appointment, "yeah it's hard to watch isn't it?" referring to the hits to the head. He wouldn't order any additional testing or scans and basically just said not to worry about it. This student was shaking, blinking 100x a minute, almost fainted, and constantly punches himself all day and this is all we got from Dr. Chadwick. It is mind boggling that a neurologist doesn't think getting punched hard in the head 90+ times a day doesn't do any brain damage. Wow. He also appeared almost irritated when the group home staff were explaining our concerns, saying things like, "yeah, and what else?" His conduct and… professionalism are very concerning to say the least.

It felt like we were in the twilight zone! He was unprofessional, had no idea why we were there, performed the exam without speaking a word. My son felt so uncomfortable. After talking in circles for about 10 minutes and suggesting a painful and expensive test that had NO medical reason to be preformed, he admitted he had never seen these swollen nerves before. I suggested he follow up with some colleagues to find out if these swollen nerves are reason for concern. A week later he called me back and said his radiologist didn't feel the nerves were swollen, I asked for the radiologist name, he said HE COULDN"T RMEMBER!!! Are you kidding me? You cant remember who you spoke to? This guy should not be practicing medicine!!

Very pompous. Poo pooed our concern. Contradicted what our primary care physician said. Finished many sentences with the words "and stuff". Talked down to us. Poor skills connecting with our child. Folded his arms and leaned back in his chair when talking to us. It really was hard to believe he actually was a doctor.

Have called and left messages a couple times for him, and he didn't call back, even when the nurse asked him to.
