Dr. Donald Frisco, MD

I was very satisfied with my visit to Dr. Frisco. All of the staff were cordial. Dr. Frisco truly listened to me and explained the various options available to me. He involved me in my treatment plan. He allowed me to make the decision whether or not to inject my knee with cortisone or synvisc. He was patient and kind. I would definitely go back.

I think it might be time for Dr Frisco to re think his career. He has no compassion, no interest and did i say no compassion. He will not listen and refuses to hear what you are saying. Especially with women. His nurse, Carla is cold and uncaring not to mention rude. She is condescending and snobby. I want to share my crappy experience with these people so you don't have to suffer the indignities.

Dr Frisco treated me well and cared about my pain management with a degenerating hip joint. Several injections were done and he helped me decide my future plan for joint replacement.

My husband recently had an appointment with Dr Frisco for back/hip pain. We found Dr Frisco & his staff to be very friendly & courteous. He was very thorough and explained things for us to clearly understand. He suggested a treatment plan which we agreed with. We would highly recommend Dr Frisco and his staff!!

When I walked into his clinic i was hoping and praying i would walk out with less pain. I had been tolerating the worst muscle pain for 3 weeks. came on very suddenly and was relentless. First, the nurse did not even so much as crack a smile nor did she show any interest in helping me. I truly felt like an inconvenience. she spent about maybe 15 mins with me. first went through my paperwork which clearly states "do you now or have you ever" had any the following. when she would inquire about a "yes" answer and i would reply she would get irritated and say NO now are you being treated for this or do you NOW feel this. Well change the form!!!! Separate it show have you ever from do you now feel this. Anyone who has even been in extreme amount of pain can agree that it makes you emotional. The NURSE diagnosed me with a disease that is virtually impossible to diagnose and is generally diagnosed after everything else has been eliminated as the cause. This irritated me but I would give the… dr a chance to tell me about the disease and why he thinks I have it. He comes into the room stands next to me as if he enjoyed the fact he had to look down at me and loved the fact that i had to look up to him while experiencing pain. Now as a pain management doctor wouldnt you think it would be professional of you not to cause MORE pain to the patient....possibly sit down so the patient doesn't have to look up?? he then continues to tell me i'm not active enough which might be true but i most certainly do not go home and sit on the couch and eat ice cream and watch tv all night. I have 2 very active kids and work 2 jobs and i'm attending graduate school. so when I mentioned that i would like to work out but it is just hard to as i am very busy! Keep in mind I said this in a soft voice with tears in my eyes. He immediately becomes hostile and yells at me about how Im refusing to help myself. When i defend myself by saying "i'm sorry i didn't say I wouldn't work out" he becomes very agitated with me and i asked him if he could do anything for me that day and his response to me in his very irritated unprofessional tone "I'M NOT DONE TALKING YET". I again apologize as tears are streaming down my face and expressed to him, my doctor, how much pain i am in. I did not yell this nor did I swear or say anything out of line. During the whole conversation I probably said less than 10 words which most was me apologizing. Well he didn't like that i asked a question nor did he like that i spoke at all. He threw his arms down yelled at me and said this appointment is over and him and his crabby, non-caring nurse walked out of the room and left me in tears and in disbelief. I'm still so upset that first, a doctor would even treat someone that way second, that they can get away with it. I have never ever been treated so poorly in my life. I walked out of that building in absolute disbelief and i was lost as to what just happened. If I could do more than blast his unprofessionalism on the web i would. He made me feel like such a piece of trash that wasnt worth his time. I would think twice before seeing dr. donald frisco in Aberdeen SD.
