I would give zero stars but that's not an option. I don't have an issue w him being fast paced. I'm fast paced. I liked him at first & he solved my migraine issue but that's where the good news stops. Difficult to get in touch w them & if u miss the call....o well. Only gives injections on Mondays. Had injections but he missed a spot he pointed out to me in June. That was Sept 9. The next day I was still in lots of pain & called. Got answering service but he was already gone. We had a hurricane bearing down on us & he left town. He never called me back & I was left to fend for myself under hurricane conditions w horrible pain! Made it thru somehow but his office was open the following Fri & Sat w no word from him. Left him a msg thru the patient portal about being in horrible pain & he missed a spot & I needed help asap. His response to me was "good news u have an appt on the 20th I'll talk to u then". That was on the 16th so he didn't care that I was in terrible pain & seemed almost… dismissive in his msg. He did not care. I went to my local ER & they took good care of me & referred me to a diff Dr so I never have to deal w him again! I also lodged a complaint against him! If ur not gonna care for or about ur patients don't b a Dr!!

dr gervais. wish i could leave a negative amount of stars. you and your staff are unprofessional. how can you reschedule a patient without contacting them? how can you run test and expect a patient to wait 2+ months for results? i guess you don't know how much can happen during that timeframe. how do you just give your patient a print out of results and expect them to be able to interpret them on their own? why has it been a week now waiting for a call from ANYONE from your office to help explain the results? i will be sharing my experience with my primary care dr, hoping that she will do better when referring patients to people like you.

Do not use them

I've come to consider Dr. Gervais not just a great professional for treatment and research of my extremely rare neurological disease, but as a genuine friend. Sure, he is fast paced, but he will always answer questions on a level any reasonably intelligent patient can understand. I'd recommend him with only one reservation -- I don't want him to get overloaded. Most people of his talent avoid small towns and rural areas. Southeast Louisiana (outside NOLA) is fortunate to have him.

They need another option for waiting time it was almost 3 hours before I was seen yes they take you out of the waiting room & put you in a small room & forget about I have to say the doctor himself was great but when your sick you just cant wait that long I'm sorry

I would go to him when I needed him, every time .

Dr Gervais consulted with me while I was getting tests and procedures because of unknown neurological conditions. He was very reassuring and positioned.

I really would have liked to see him again. After one visit, I only dealt with the nurse practitioner, had a run of common bad luck and health involved difficulties when getting there I really wish sometimes they could go above what is involved in online reviews.

I remember a couple of years ago when I first met Dr. Gervais I was scared and intimidated by him and for no reason. I found over a couple of visits that he was a man I could trust. He always had my best interest at heart. He would never overprescribe me and he listened to my fears with compassion. I had no idea that a year ago I would need him more than ever when my husband fell ill. He has held our hand and been close to us for the past year now. Everyone can pick any professional apart I know I was a professional before becoming disabled. Sometimes it is us the patient that puts up walls or expectations or forgets to relay important information to our doctor. We have now had to move out of state and I miss Dr. Gervais more than ever. I feel like my comfort has been taken from us. I have so much faith in Dr. Gervais that I would drive 2 days travel to be back in his office. I was a botox patient for migraines as well, he was incredible. I believe he truly cares about his… patients and their well-being. Be blessed Dr. Gervais and know you are thought of highly and will forever be appreciated!
