Dr. Donald Patrick Hurley

I found Dr. Hurley when I had gone to him in the past to be cruel and he seemed to like to hold a prescription his hand while he put me down until I was crying. Then I noticed he did this to other middle-aged women. I could hear them crying because of his put downs. It seems to me he has no bedside manner at all except to the men is what I was paying attention to. I’m not exactly sure why he behaves like that but it just seems like he hates middle-age women. I’ve never seen him with a younger woman in his practice, coming for treatment or for an examination, but he would hold the prescription in his hand as if you didn’t listen to his put downs that are your fault or whatever that he was gonna rip the prescription up. He should not be practicing medicine or working with people. He’s a cruel man. I mean it’s not your fault if you have diabetes or some kind of genetic disease he doesn’t have the right to talk like that to any patient. I put up with it more than once. At that time I… brought a family member in with me I said you have no idea what he’s doing and the family member who now has passed away was going to tell him off, but he saw how the doctor would hold onto the prescription in those days so this family member said nothing but said you’re right he is awful. Now I hear he’s a concierge doctor that MDVIP bought into their system. Where you are charged $2000 a year just to see him and have access to one of his private cell numbers. I don’t know if he still is a concierge doctor because he is quite cruel. Another thing that has nothing to do with the subject, but I recall on several occasions where he would be walking outside the medical building and just have his hands clasped behind his back and be talking to himself and in a world of his own. He really needs a psychiatrist. I prefer to stay anonymous because I do not trust him at all..

Incredibly thorough and professional. Received more detailed information and steps to take to improve our health than any physician we have ever been associated with. My wife and I highly recommend using Dr Hurley as your MDVIP doctor.

I have been a patient for about 2 years. I trust Dr. Hurley's knowledge. He is always willing to listen to questions and answer them. I feel confident in the care he and his staff provide me. If you are looking for a knowledgeable and caring physician, I highly recommend him.

Never met a more arrogant and condescending person. He thinks he knows everything but his knowledge is limited. He must be very insecure with a lot of issues to talk the way he does to people. I wouldn’t recommend him to my dog.

My experience with Dr. Hurley has been nothing short of exceptional. Dr. Hurley has guinuine care for his patients which is refreshing; Especially in an industry that nowadays main concern is meeting quotas. He is totally focused on his patients and has a deep care and concern for their well-being. He will take the time to answer all of your questions. As a result he is someone I trust and do not second-guess and he will tell you if he thinks you need another opinion. This may cause some of us to have to wait but I would much rather wait on a doctor that will take the time to diagnose my health issue versus treating only symptoms. I actually feel like a patient and not a number On production line. Lastly, Dr. Hurley continues to participate in medical research on top of seeing patients which only helps to keep him educated in a industry that is in constant change. In the last year he has succeeded in solving or helping with multiple of my health issues where my previous… physicians (GP) either didn’t listen or did care enough to discover the problem. Dr. Hurley thanks for your care and compassion. We need more like you. Keep up the effort to show the new doctors coming out of med school that the reason for being a doctor is to help people and not judge them.

I have received phone calls from Hurleys office 3 times now asking to return to office with my grandfather. My grandfather died around 3 months ago. I have spoken to the office about this and they still CALL ME!!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!

I found Dr Hurley to be impatient, non compassionate and does not take the time to listen to his patients nor with follow up medical issues. In addition the office staff is curt, cold and unfriendly and I would not recommend this ear, nose throat physician

We just moved here from out of state and I came to Dr. Hurley solely because his office carried my insurance and I needed a new primary care doctor in SC. I really wish I would have read these reviews before booking my appointment. I arrived at 9am for my 9:15 appointment, and while I knew it would take a little longer to be seen as a new patient, I did not expect to wait over an hour and a half just to be called back. I went back at about 11am. From there, I waited probably another 30 minutes before Dr Hurley decided to grace me with his almighty presence. He was condescending, pushy, and arrogant. Listen, I may not be the epitome of health, but I'm not overweight (and only 28 years old) and this guy wanted to run EVERY test imaginable on me (all done in house of course). I know I was just a walking dollar sign for him. Felt a slight pulse in my stomach because I'm thin? Better have an ultrasound. Never had an EKG? Better run that immediately. Full blood panels? Cholesterol… screening? In depth sleep study? Check, check, check. And more! I don't have so much as a cough but this guy wanted to bully me into every single expensive test he could think of because I had ADHD. Yep. Just ADHD. He was rude, pushy, and made me feel very uncomfortable during the entire experience. As I left, the nurses fumbled around with my blood tests and the receptionit tried to write me a prescription that was completely wrong because she got my name mixed up with another patient. I was in this office for 4 hours for an appointment that never took more than 30 minutes total at my previous primary doctor's office. O
