Dr. Donald Hyungjoon Kim, MD

This "doctor" has been seeing a relative of mine for several years. He has bad bedside manners, aggressive at times, and now that he is under investigation for over medicating patients which three of his patients have died in his care "Allegedly until proven guilty" look it up on channel 4 news he knew this was coming and stopped prescribing 100mg of Oxycodone a day to 0mg to my relative which is dangerous. It is a sign when his own employees inform you that he doesn't care about his patients rather than the big home he has built. He is a coward not to even tell his patients himself, but has his PA do it. It is surprisingly to see random reviews of him with five stars with his medical license in jeopardy. I'm saddened for all his patients that he has prescribed high levels of Opioids and now probably have been taken away will go through withdrawals and pain and maybe death as a result. I'm hoping the law will see that the oath that he took "to do no harm" will do right by his patients… that put their lives in his hands.

I've had 3 back surgeries, and Dr Kim has been very supportive of my gradual reduction of pain medicine over the past 5 years. He is so kind, patient and informative. I've always valued his knowledgeable opinion. I would highly recommend Dr Kim to my friends and family who were suffering with chronic pain.

I have been a patient in Pain Management with Dr. Kim for 10 years. I have never experienced the great level of care & compassion by a doctor than I have had with him. I'm speaking as a long time patient. In those 10 years, Dr. Kim has been very easy to communicate with, he has a positive attitude, and that's also reflected in his staff, who are also great. I could not be more pleased with the care I am receiving. Dr. Kim is a rare individual. His care has helped me to live the fullest life possible with the conditions that I have. Thank You Dr. Kim!

I highly recommend Dr. Kim. He is very thorough in his assessment and treatment of chronic pain. I have had 5 back surgeries and 3 knee surgeries . I am not doped up nor in constant pain. What a relief !

Dr Kim is a rude doctor who should not have a license to practice any medicine. Went to see the nurse practitioner who was great, but had to send me to see doctor Kim because she could change my medicine to something stronger so she checked for his next opening but realized that he had canceled appointments that did not show so she immediately put me in one of his rooms. Dr Kim flipped out and took his anger out on me even tried to lie and said I was rude to the nurse practitioner which was totally a lie, I asked a nurse to have her come into the room and ask her, when he realized the truth his answer was I am mad at the nurses for bringing me over to his room, no apology from this doctor only anger from him. Be very cautious choosing this pain management doctor his staff is awesome I am surprised that they put up with him for so long.

When i first seen Dr Kim i really didn't think things was going 2 work on my side,, he was a Lil standoffish, & kinda rude but i found that not 2 be the case on my 3rd - 4th visit with him. and i can understand why he and other Doctors have their guard up on their first meet with you as a patient ,, if i was a Doctor these day's I'd be the same way due 2 all the crap you hear on TV, social media but more so on the news about Doctors over prescribing pain medications & those who overdose well let me tell ya Doctor's trust that the medication prescribed will be taken as said 2 take, they can't go home with each patient and hold their hand's making sure they are taking the prescribed med's as stated and it's these ppl who do such crap that ruin it for those who need pain control ... enough on that Dr Kim is awesome, i totally love him and his staff. especially the guy nurse, oh, where do i start with him? Lol 2he is totally awesome and can always make me smile even when i feel like… total dog crap. so yes i would totally tell everyone about Dr. Kim. he's a very caring Doctor.

Dr. Kim is an amazing doctor. He always listens and truly cares about his patients. I have been with him for five years and he has always been kind and caring as well as professional. I recommend him to everyone I know who needs a pain doctor who cares. All the people giving bad reviews probably went against their pain contract and are mad that he is doing his job! I think he cares about each of his patients and I will continue to recommend him and see him.

pee test is way to high$$, but, dr kims a nice guy, if a bit stiff. and i think he really cares about what i got going on.

Dr. Kim and his staff are very professional , yet caring people who understand pain and its effects on the body.

I just read through all the reviews here and Iâ??m amazed at how negative some of these reviews are! Iâ??ve been seeing Dr. Kim for over three years. I know he has a deep concern for my well-being and quality of life. He closely monitors my condition (cervical disk disease) and adjusts my meds so Iâ??m able to function with a minimum amount of pain. Several times Iâ??ve had break-through pain that left me unable to sleep or work and he has seen me the very next day. He administered shots to alleviate my pain and provided a quiet room for me to rest in while the medications took effect. During two of these visits he administered a second shot when the first didnâ??t alleviate the pain. He takes a holistic approach to my situation, evaluating all of the medications I take, making suggestions when there is a better alternative available. He talks with me about my home life, things that stress me, things that make my pain worse. He has made constructive recommendations that have… improved my situation. Over the past three years Iâ??ve noticed many people as they interact with his staff. Some of them, I assume, are in extreme pain and are quite irritable or even angry. The staff deals with each person in a professional manner. Iâ??ve taken the time to get to know Gloria, asking her about her life and work, and have found her to be a wonderful friend. I highly recommend Dr. Kim to anyone who needs a thorough, effective, caring pain management doctor.
