Dr. Donald Gary Kolva

Dr. Kolva helped me when I thought I would never feel well again. He listened to my symptoms and helped me understand why I was experiencing them. With the medication he prescribed, my quality of life has returned. Dr. Kolva is kind and thoughtful and above all, he treated me with respect by educating me instead of simply giving me medication and sending me on my way. I highly recommend Dr. Kolva.

Dr. Kulva is extremely knowledgeable and looks at you as a whole and what his concerns are if certain actions are not taken. Most of my other physicians only looked at me as the body part/system that pertained to what they typically see. His sense of humor either makes you comfortable and relaxed or you may feel it to be harsh and cold. I tell people you either dislike him or love him. There is no neutral regarding his "bedside manner". His personality fits well with mine and that coupled with the fact that Out of all the physicians I have seen in the past 6 years (about 21) he appears to be the most knowledgeable and tells you how it is. Also, after being placed on 19 prescription medications over the years to treat one symptom after another but yet missing the bullseye, Dr. Kulve was the 1st to list in black and white all my medications and supplements and their negative interactions when taken together!! And that includes pharmacists. I had over 40 negative drug interactions… regarding the medications and supplements I have been on - some for years - by other physicians. And he volunteerily took on the task of helping me detox off of the medications that were doing more internal damage to my organs than helping - a job no one else wanted. This is just the beginning of a long road for me, but I think after 5 years, I have finally found someone who truly listens, gives you the time you need while in his office, and does care.

Dr. Kolva is wonderful. He takes the time to listen and cares about his patients. When no other doctor would listen to me for years Dr. Kolva did hear what I was saying and ordered the right test.

Staff has no idea whats going on does not collect co pays or keep you current on any lab results or bills you may have. Kolva knows what he is talking about when it comes to MS great guy.

Dr. Kolva is NOT rude. Dr. Kolva is just very direct and to the point and has a "different" sense of humor. He does not mean to come off rude. He REALLY knows his stuff and takes his time to explain his diagnosis. He is extremely knowledgable and informs you of aspects of your diagnosis as well. If you are offended easy - he is not your doctor. If your results show nothing significant or nothing to worry about, he will make a comment like "your scan is boring, which means I don't see anything concerning". He is NOT rude - just has a different approach that some people might find offensive. He IS a good doctor. If you want a doctor that knows his stuff - see him!

I went to see Dr Kolva when I began to have seizures a few years ago. He was genyinely concerned and did not look at me as just a patient. He took the time to explain to me all factions involved in the type of epilepsy that I was diagnosed with as well as treatments for this type of epilepsy. He was honest, forthright, caring, and so was his staff. I had no trouble asking and recieving answers to any questions I had and could call him and he would return my calls promptly. I never had any trouble getting into see him, did not have to wait too long, and he is very professional. I have seen at lezast 3 other neurologists in my life and he was the best one.

Dr. Kolva is a great doctor. He is very intelligent. Unlike a lot of other doctors he is able to come down to the patient's level so you understand what he is talking about. He also makes me feel very comfortable. He also spends a lot of time with me at each visit without making me feel like I am using up too much of his time. He has a great sense of humor and unlike the previous doctor I had, Dr. Kolva correctly diagnosised my disease. I would recommend him to anyone who is in need of a neurologist.

Dr. Kolva has never been rude to me. He not only looks at you from a neurologist point of view but looks at you as a whole. If no other doctor has followed up on a particular aspect of your health, he will. I find him to be very helpful. I would recommend to others.

I thought my time spent was a total waste of time. Dr Kolva is rude, arrogant and totally distracted.

This doctor can be very rude and overstep the bounds of professionalism. If you are easily annoyed or offended, try a different doctor.
