Dr. Donald James Lauer, MD

After this dr. read my report that I had a brain tumor the size of a lime in my head (was waiting for my MRI appt but passed out and was sent to ER at St. Joe's via ambulance) he laughed and said he read the tumor report and said he had no idea why I was brought in and I'd be out of the ER shortly. Guess he was wrong because I was sent to the ICU and had surgery. Not cancerous thankfully. Thankful that Barrow Institute is a part of St. Joe's and had the best surgeon ever!

This doctor refused to give me the same dosage of medication that was prescribed to me by my primary care physician. He would not speak to me directly, instead he made it a point to speak through his nurse. Very frustrating, and Very scary!! A good doctor would communicate well and thoroughly with his patient. There should never be poor communication, since that leads to poor medical treatment and results. I would not recommend Donald Lauer as a physician.
