The doctor spent about 30 seconds with me, long enough to write me a prescription (based on the questions his nurse had asked me, not based on any of his questions) and advise that I needed an endoscopy. His nurse then came back to go over what the procedure meant, and the prep I needed to take. The procedure was scheduled for three weeks out. I got a call from their billing department a week before the procedure was scheduled explaining that I would need to bring and pay $600 before the procedure. It was also explained that my insurance would not be billed until after the procedure and the $600 was an estimate of what I MIGHT owe after insurance had covered their portion. My insurance covers all diagnostic testing 100% so if the doctor didn't have to do a biopsy during the procedure my insurance would have covered it, and I'd have to wait for a refund. It is incredibly bad practice to charge a patient BEFORE billing their insurance and then make them sit around and wait for a refund.… I cancelled my appointment and ended up choosing a different doctor.

The staff has been rude to me several times. I have also been two years in a row for a year visit to get refills and the doctor does not see me, he sends in someone else.
