Dr. Martin is no longer taking new patients - because he's good and he can't possibly see anymore. Great doctor, and overall good practice. I drive 30 miles through the mountains to see him as needed

I heard good things about Dr. Martin, but what I found out after several visits is that he seems to be just another one who is like "take this and call me in the morning"....except when you call he is rarely there. Seems like it's always his day off. There is no way to get a hold of him if you have any type of emergency. The receptionist was horrible and when I expressed my frustrations they announced they would no longer accept me as a patient! He was unable to diagnose what was wrong with me, but when I went to a specialist they noticed right away--said it was obvious. I would not recommend him!!

Dr. Martin and his office consistently receives the South Lake Tahoe "Best Family Doctor" award. I've been a patient for over ten years. He is a wonderful, compassionate and skilled physician. (I'd like to add that he has a terrific office staff, as well.)
