Dr. Donald R Metz, DO

Long story short, I had been going to Deer Park Clinic for over 3 yrs. I needed a refill on my Blood Pressure pills. My insurance mistakenly didnt pay $15 dollars on a claim. I had been without my Blood Pressure pills for over 3 days. They refused to let me get my medicine until $15 dollar bill was paid. I ended up leaving and ultimately ended up in an Hypertensive crisis, I could have had a stroke. And they didnt care. All because of $15 dollars.

Dr. Donald Metz has been my doctor for almost 20 years. I used to live in Deer Park but now in Spring, Texas. I drive 1 1/2 hrs every 3 months to see him and do not dread the drive. He has known me so long, knows my completely medical and personal history and he trusts me when I ask him to change some medication to see if it will make a difference. I appreciate his kindness to me, and if he feels that I don't need something, then I agree. He will always be my doctor.

I visited the after hours urgent care clinic with a possible broken or twisted ankle. After 6 X-rays, the doctor couldn't tell me what was wrong with my foot. She said orthopedic injuries were not her specialty. She refused to give me prescriptions for ankle brace, crutches, or pain. She told me to go home and wrap my ankle. I asked if she or a nurse could show me the proper way to wrap the ankle. She told me to GOOGLE it! Unprofessional, uncaring, and unbelievably bad, bad, service. Didn't she take an oath as a doctor? DO NOT GO HERE EVER!!!!!

They are a caring clinic with a caring staff. Dr. Metz and his son always give you personal attention. It is hard to find such great Drs. these days... and you know they will be there tomorrow if you need them.

Very busy practice, but still takes enough time to carefully review issues. Very nice individual.
