Dr. Donald Richard Moore, MD

I was a patient of Dr. Moore's for over 10 years and 2 1/2 years ago I suddenly got very I'll and was admitted by a doctor friend of mine to St. John Hospital. My husband called his office and told them I was very sick and in the hospital and no one from his office ever returned his call. I was in the hospital for 17 days with zero contact from him. After I was finally released we were told we should advise him what I had, and that I was finally going home. My husband spoke to one of his nurses, told her my situation and asked her to tell the doctor and asked for a return call. Nothing. Lastly, after multiple requests from my new doctor, he has still not sent my medical records to my new doctor. Now, 2 1/2 years after my ordeal, I still can't believe he didn't care enough to at least call.

Comes off as caring and concerned. But if your illness does not line up with his limited view of Medicine then he runs out of ideas. He is definitely not an out-of-the-box thinking physician. If all you need is a routine physical he's your guy.

At first he seemed nice, but after finding out we had complicated histories, he grew distant and less interested, when my wife saw him for a severe shoulder pain, he ran an x-ray and scheduled an MRI, but later told her there was nothing wrong with her shoulder and not to go for the MRI. She trusted her body, and went. Severely torn rotator cuff! Dr. Moore, bad call, you won't be our doctor any more...
