Dr. Don Nielson
Dr. Donald C. Nielson was born in Washington, DC and moved to Kansas City when he was four years old. A graduate of Central High School, Dr. Don earned his BA in Human Biology from UMKC in 1970 where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He went on to earn a DDS degree from the UMKC School of Dentistry on Hospital Hill in 1974.
Dr. Don has been practicing in Olathe since 1974 and is proud ot have seen all four of his children graduate from Olathe South High School. Dr. Dan Nielson, his oldest son, is currently an Oral Surgery Resident at UMKC Medial School. His other son, Jake Nielson, currently manages the IT department for the local Planet Sub restaurant chain. His youngest daughter, Elizabeth Crocker, teaches second grade in the Olathe School District.
Dr. Don is a member of the American Dental Association, the Kansas Dental Association, the Optimists Club, and a past president of the Olathe Housing Commission. When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Don enjoys playing …golf and spending time with his six grandchildren.
