Dr. Donald J Perry, MD

Shoulder pain for months, he did not listen to to me, informed me it was my neck causing my arm pain and numbness in my arm and fingers. Consulted another orthopedic, I have three torn rotator cuffs with tendon and souring. Cubital and carpal tunnel syndrome, needed immediate rotator cuff reconstruction on the right shoulder with carpal tunnel release and have to go through the left next year. This guy is a joke, if he takes the time to listen and stop and listen to his the patient. he may save people from months, years of pain and suffering. He’s a horrible human being and doctor in my opinion based on my experience. I’m so happy God saved me from him to operate on me.

The first doctor Perry's office staff excellent very congenial understanding cannot say enough. Once you see doctor Perry you'll feel very comfortable because he is very informative and treats his patients with the upmost respect and addresses each of their concerns. Day of surgery Dr. Perry came in before any anesthesia was administered to me and again asked my concerns, next thing I knew I was in recovery room and once again Dr. Perry was there. Was dreaming home buy my wife and very next day is PA I was calling to see if I needed anything and how I felt. What more would you want from a doctor and his staff!

My initial visit was okay though the front office seemed a bit disjointed. They at first said my appt was the next day and couldn’t see me until then. But after my persistence they soon determined it was that day. After a long wait I saw the dr and determined my pain. Treated with cortisone and sent me to therapy. Result was positive. I then did a follow up and again front office was very disjointed. I arrived 5 minutes past my appt, I live one hour away. I stood at the window for 19 minutes before the lady acknowledged my presence. I sat for 20 minutes, then she said because I was 5 minutes late I would have to reschedule. She said there was no option. I told her I lived one hour away, she wasn’t sympathetic. I then walked out.

Stop criticizing this wonderful surgeon!! He has a gentle, loving heart. He operated on me 3 times with total knowledge that he would not be paid. His intentions are always high & noble... to provide the best healing & help. When anyone has been in practice over 25 years, there's going to be a few problems. Recognize this man for the his overall surgical history, not recent unjust hits. I, and many others love him & will defend him under any circumstance.

Instills confidence in patients. Very detailed with his protocols; pleasant , sometimes humorous manner and always professional. When nurses in prep give him a thumbs up, you know you are in good hands. Thank you for a successful surgery.

Dr. Perry did my partial knee replacement 4yrs. ago. Now I am looking at having another surgery done to correct what he messed up. I actually have to go to a specialist that does just this, fix others surgeons goof ups. I tried to go back to Dr.Perry to figure out what my problem was with my knee and pain, and all he did was comment on the weight I have gain. (He needed to turn around and look at his own back side.) It was just so rude of him and so unprofessional. He had them rush me over to hospital for a dobbler test to see if I had a blood clot, and to this day no one not the hospital or his office have called me with the results of this test. Fortunately I found my way around it and got the results myself. So I went to my primary to help me figure out what to do next. No help from Dr.Perry, he just walked out of the room and never came back and didn't tell me what to do. I can hardly walk on the knee and it is so very swollen but he showed no concern. My primary ordered an MRI… on it and I was shocked at how bad it is. I won't go into details whats wrong, don't want to get anyone in trouble but I will say what is going to need fixed was because my knee wasn't put back together correctly. Plus when I was told they would scrap the arthritis out when doing knee replacement, was not done,or at least not properly because I have a significant amount per report, now I have to get that done again also. My knee has never felt right since he did my surgery, but honestly he would not pay attention to my conversations I try to have with him. If I was you reading the review think very hard picking this surgeon. Pray about it good and hard. I just don't want anyone else to go through what I have for the last 4yrs.

My knee was injured in a motorcycle accident in 1972. After 4 previous operations performed over 45 years Dr Perry did a replacement I had no pain immediately after surgery and have had none since. This knee had hurt for 45 years constantly. Dr Perry is a great doctor.

I had good things things about Dr Perry but he caused severe nerve damage to my leg during hip replacement because he put wrong size joint in and now I am in a brace. He did not check on me once while I was in the hospital following my surgery. Stay away from this doctor.

I heard many good things in the past about dr Perry’s skills and kindnesses but was rudely awakened when my situation came about . It will take some time to get over, wonderful staff from front office all the way to the back.
