Dr. Donald Albert Rauh, MD

Would give no stars if I could. Condescending and completely inappropriate. Made a off color joke that completely crossed a line and made me too uncomfortable to continue to see him. I find his personality to come across in a way that, if you are suffering from low self esteem, makes you feel nervous to participate in your treatment properly. Over years and many dollars later I was not feeling better, had been thoroughly psychoanalyzed, but not helped in any concrete way.

I have now been seeing Dr. Rauh for over ten years. When I started with him, I had just been released from a 3+ month inpatient hospitalization and was told that I would never work again. After a lot of work (on both our parts) and some amazing med management I have not only finished my BA but also an MS and am currently getting a doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a 4.0 GPA while working full-time. I cannot say enough about Dr. Rauh and what he has done for me.

I have to agree with the negative feedback. It's like the old car dilemma. You've already sunk a ton of money into it and it's still not working. Do you keeping sinking MORE money into it or cut your losses? We cut our losses after he drained our savings charging $400 an hour. All his paperwork is done on YOUR time, which is also ridiculous. He had us get a ton of bloodwork done that insurance wouldn't cover. One was as high as $350 thank you very much. When our new doc looked at it, she said, "Why on Earth would he have all this bloodwork done?!" Worst part was with all that money, the molotov cocktail of meds he prescribed, I never felt comfortable talking to him. He cuts you off and acts bothered when you ask him a question. I kept hoping, it'll all be worth it if the meds worked - nope. Just made things worse. I HATE leaving negative feedback for anyone and this is the first time doing it. But people, especially those already vulnerable, should know what they're getting… beforehand. I wish I had seen this feedback before making an appt with him. ps He used the bathroom twice and didn't wash his hands. We know because we heard everything but the sink running.

Dr Rauh was a life saver for me. I was hospitalized twice and had no hope. He has been treating me for over 10 years and my life is in an amazing place. I have two kids with exceptionalities, work and care for our home. I have a very rewarding job, survived the early death of my mother and get out of bed each and every day despite enormous challenges in life. He has been with me all along the way. He knowledge of the brain and it’s functions along with extraordinary expertise of psychopharmacology make him an exceptional. I can understand why some people may clash with his personality but he is very understanding when you are honest with him. I wouldn’t let this stop you from seeing him.

Dr. Rauh is condescending and rude. I recall he yelled at me the first time I came to see him. Unfortunately, I desperately needed professional guidance, and due to the lack of doctors available, I decided to continue seeing him. Most of our conversations revolved around incorporating natural remedies like taking cold pressed olive oil and vitamin supplements. It was a strange experience, as if he was acting like a nutritionist. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

Ignorant, unethical, and arrogant..control freak.. how is this guy still practicing?

I have been seeing Dr. Rauh for a few years now and I would highly recommend him.

My experience with Dr. Rauh was very helpful. I believe he helped to wade through a extremely difficult time. I am back to work and functioning better than before and in a much better position to enjoy my life. Dr. Rauh saved my life. Cannot put a price on that. Sincerely.

I have been taking my daughter with special needs to see Dr. Rauh for over 3 years now. She has a complex medical background and has been followed by top doctors at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Rauh has been able to absorb the details of her multi faceted condition and even make recommendations that were ground breaking and very well received by her other doctors. When treating a child or adolescent, the parent in still involved. Dr. Rauh has worked well with us both and he takes my observations as the hands on parent and makes recommendations about the medications. He has put my daughter on a new plane, and one that keeps her in school and starting to make friends. Also, his method of reaching the optimal dose, titrating, makes a huge difference! I would never send anyone in my family to a different psychiatrist.

Dr Rauh is a extremely well read and compassionate Psychiatrist. As a physician myself I am we'll aware of the physicians in the BucksCounty and Philadelphia Region. Dr Rauh is not only progressive ,up to date and compassionate to his patients Behavioral Care, but also concerned and focused on the patients whole physical system. He is one of a kind and I recommend him highly to my family friends and patients, He is by far top of his field, and I don't often say that about anyone... He will evaluate dissect and treat you getting you to a "place"we all should be
