Dr. Donald Robert Ross, MD

Psychiatrist when I was hospitalized for three months at the Retreat at Sheppard Pratt, Dr. Ross was my attending psychiatrist for the first month to month and a half. He completely failed to take an accurate and complete history. He failed to make sure I was provided with an adequate medical physical exam. Two out of three of my diagnoses were missed. I was actually miss- treated on the unit by him and some of the staff. This cost to me over $200,000 out of pocket was not reimbursable by insurance without great difficulty. I was not up to dealing with that great difficulty at that point and was actively not assisted by the one staff member who should’ve been the one to help me with this insurance claim. I did have the coverage in medical insurance. The physical accommodations were substandard and only after I personally spoke with the vice president for finance were the physical accommodations brought up to standard.Dr. Ross does not handle negative feedback well. He acts injured… himself.
