Dr. Donald C Sachs, MD

Staff constantly messing up appointments, if you try calling them it takes forever for someone to get back to you. Dr Sachs is very arrogant and doesn't give you the time you need. He might be good at his job but all the negatives to deal with in this office aren't worth it.

When I went to my first visit, Dr. Sachs explained everything to me and said I needed surgery. Turned out to be major surgery ! Before the surgery I couldn't walk or stand for over 5 minutes. Now after the surgery I can do all the things I couldn't do before the surgery !! I am so thankful for a great doctor like Dr. Sachs. And his team is one of the Best !!1 His Office staff has always treated me respect and kindness. I highly recommend Dr. Sachs and his team !!

Went to see Dr. Sachs with recent MRI in hand. He came back from lunch and I was seen. The MRI I do not believe was even looked at. Was told to start with p.t. and then they took x-rays. He didn't even know what was shown on the MRI scan when we questioned him about it Went to another Dr. And he viewed my M.R.I. and was told the opposite. Had a broken S1 vertebrae which had shifted 6mm. And disc's from L1-L5 were deteriorated and almost not there. Dr. Sachs was an arrogant and unconcerned doctor in our opinion. If I had followed his advice the doctor I chose stated I may have ended up in much worse condition. I had surgery 6 weeks later it was so bad.

Staff was very caring. Dr Sachs is a very talented doctor. Surgery with a spinal cord stimulator was very successful. I haven’t been this pain free or been able to move in years. Wait times were reasonable as was scheduling any procedures and surgery. I would recommend him in a minute.

Would not even let me talk to the doctor. Then cancelled my surgery stated I didn't have confidence in them. Ins co was livid!!

If only you see the Dr, even if the referring Dr spoke to Dr sacks and said you'd be seen ASAP ! Took a month to get in only to see the nurse practitioner. Now have to wait another 3 months to see the Dr !! He only is only in the office on Friday ! That is terribly wrong

Dr. Donald Sachs is the BEST neurosurgeon in Polk County, Fl. He is caring, compassionate and excellent. He took wonderful care of my husband way before surgery, during, after and all the follow up appointments in the office. His nurse assistant Ms. Laurie is also excellent! Neck fusion. Successful! Finally don’t have to use pain medicine anymore! Great doctor and great staff.

After having my appointment moved due to a "Family emergency" i waited in the waiting room for 2 and 1/2 hours. Was in the patient room for another 30 minutes before the Nurse came in and told me to just loose weight that the needle would not go through "the extra tissue". Now i know that i am overweight, however this has not been mentioned by any of my previous doctors. Just remember that when you schedule your appointment you will NOT see the "real" doctor, just the nurse. I cannot begin to explain my dissatisfaction with this practitioners office and staff.

I was fortunate to get a cancellation appointment within 2 days of my initial call. Surgery was needed and I already had all of my pre-op exams & clearances along with CT and MRI disks. Surgery was scheduled for 2 weeks after my initial visit with Dr. Sachs. He is conservative and explains what he recommends for cervical fusions. Contrary to other reviewers, I found him down to earth and with a good bedside manner. My total experience with Dr. Sachs went well. My surgery was 5 weeks ago and I am recovering extremely well. There still needs to be some attitude adjustments by several of his staff members. Their rudeness, bad attitude and not returning calls has unfortunately cost a great doctor some new patients. Hopefully Dr. Sachs will continue to encourage positive attitudes and kindness from all of his staff. I will highly recommend Dr. Sachs.
