Dr. Donald Paul Talenti, MD

I recently visited Dr. Talenti at Doylestown Health Urgent + Care for a reoccurring sore throat and other flu like symptoms. I arrived at the location at 8:20 and was greeted by a very pleasant receptionist who assisted me with the check in process. As I was completing the new patient registration, I overheard the receptionist take a phone call who advised the caller, to come in and be seen. Dr Talenti, learned of the expected arrival and announced he would not see any more patients this evening and to direct him to the ER when he arrived. After completing vitals, I was then seen by Dr Talenti, who immediately seemed agitated and hurried. Before checking my condition, he stated antibiotics are not used for people with my symptoms, since many times this is a viral infection. I explained that I was previously on two doses of antibiotics, where I improved greatly. Upon learning this, he completed a throat culture and prescribed antibiotics, with and remarked “ here you go,… probably it probably won’t work” and then began arguing with me about my previous medical treatments. I asked the receptionist for his name, where again Dr Talenti grand stands in the waiting room asking me to leave. Dr. Talenti, seemingly had little concern for me as a patient. I found Dr Talenti, to be rude, arrogant and condescending. His dismissive approach to patients care are certainly not aligned with the Doylestown Health vision. “The enthusiastic pursuit of healthcare excellence through collaboration and innovation.” It’s worth noting, that similar reviews of Dr. Talenti’ have been posted on-line and hope his behavior is addressed promptly. I developed severe pain in my upper arm & shoulder. It was excruciating pain & I could not get in to see my internist quick enough so my husband took me to the Doylestown Urgent Care. Dr. Talenti diagnosed shoulder bursitis & helped me tremendously. I was given educational sheets & written follow-up & I’m feeling much better. Very thankful we found Dr. Talenti & his wonderful staff!

Doctor disregarded our symptoms and did not offer any treatment. Had to go see our regular doctor on Monday and the infection had gotten worse by then. Would not go back or recommend to anyone
