Dr. Donald Arthur Wells, MD

Dr. Wells is a kind person, and I believe he means well. He was trained along time ago and I’m not sure when he last had Continuing Medical Education, but he IS MISINFORMED with regard to his prescription practices. He was very comfortable prescribing me benzodiazepines for over SEVEN years IN THREE MONTH SUPPLIES, which resulted in an unintentional physical dependency which ultimately caused me to lose nearly a decade of my life. Dr. Wells told me benzos were “safe, tried and true.” He said they were “non-addictive,” that I was taking “a baby dose” None of these claims are true. Ultimately, I ended up having to find an addiction specialist to get off of the pills he prescribed. While he may be a good listener, this man is NOT a therapist. He is a pill pusher.

Takes time to work with you and encourage progress. Asks pertinent questions. Comfortable atmosphere.

He is simply fantastic, empathetic without babying you. Compassionate yet telling you what you need to hear. When he retires, I will cry because he is irreplaceable!!

What I love about Dr. Wells is that he remembers what is happening in my life. We don't have to spend have the session rehashing was my backstory is. He is not only a psychiatrist but also a psychologist--a truly rare find in this day and age. I have had a psychiatric condition for 30 years, and is the best psych I have ever had.

I have found Dr. Wells to be knowledgeable, concerned about his patients, an excellent listener and advisor, very professional and follows up each session with earlier concerns, so one feels that all the bases are covered. I have recommended Dr. Wells to several people, and they have been as happy with his care as I am.

he was not very open to my feelings or what I thought. he had a predetermined idea of what he felt about my experiences without more info. Very arrogant and snobby
