Dr Wender is very knowledgeable & is very reassuring that things are going well

He seemed in a rush throughout my mom’s appointment. He did not explain her diagnosis. My mother had lung cancer that had already spread to her bones, meaning she was already stage 4 and incurable. We were not told this at all during her appointment with Wender. He quickly went through her scans, pointing out things that were not identifiable to someone without medical knowledge. He recommended chemotherapy and radiation, but did not tell us it would be palliative at this point, only to help with her pain, and would in no way cure her. My mother and I left his office feeling confused, and I learned more from researching on my own that evening than I did from him.

He treated my dad for esophageal cancer. Waited months between each PET scan, even after he realized the cancer was spreading aggressively. Did not change treatment plans even when they weren't working. My dad died a month after Wender said he was terminal. Never called or checked on him in any way, but a different doctor at Nylen did. Wender then refused to sign the death certificate because he "hadn't seen that patient for months" causing unnecessary stress on a grieving family. Stubborn man, will not change treatment plans, will not help in any way after a patient's passing, causes stress on grieving families who have funerals to plan. Would never recommend him to anyone.

Went to him in May said see you in 4 months , Condition got worse . Finally went to Mayo in Rochester they found problem and said I could be treated at home. Went to first treatment ,he was the Doctor listed but never say him . I suppect he is just using my insurence to fund his research . That is all he is intrested in .

This doctor only cares how much money he can make never once saw me during my chemo

Don't waste your time and money on a doctor that never sees you
