Dr. Don joined Thomasville and Archdale pediatrics in 1996 after attending Creighton Medical School in Omaha, Nebraska and completing residency at the combined University of Nebraska/Creighton Pediatric Residency. He is board certified in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. His wife, Michelle, completed her PhD. in Microbiology and teaches middle school science. He continues to serve as a National Health Service Corps Physician. In this capacity, he is usually found in the Archdale office. Dr. Winters has four children; John, Ian, Connor, and Julia. He enjoys scuba diving, racing, working on cars and computers. Dr. Don is fluent in Spanish. In addition, when requested, Dr. Winters performs circumcisions in the office with local anesthesia.
