Dr. Donald K Yang, MD

With a little over a year he he told two of friends "get things in order you have maybe six months". The first wasn't a patient of his but he was on rounds at the hospital, no exam nothing. Turns out the next Dr could not believe patient was told that, he did have surgery and all is good. Second one was a patient and they didn't care for him or his attitude, again he spoke with no hope. Again the next Dr a whole different story. Always get a second opinion

Had to see him for a colonoscopy and endoscopy due to finally (after 40 years of frustrating symptoms that all my MD's threw pills at but did not seek out a diagnosis for - after an exhaustive internet search I was somewhat appaulled that my MD's never figured it out. I had all but one symptom in my early 20's. The last symptom was restless leg syndrome that began in my 40's.) Anyway, Dr. Yang was extremely attentive, thorough, and careful in getting a good medical history. He handled the scopes well and I was surprised and pleased to get a hard copy of the procedure and findings before leaving after the procedure. I will admit that I'm an RN so I have a medical backround and that could impact the relationship between us as I could talk to him at his level. Sometimes this is a good thing and sometimes not. All in all, it was a good experience for me and I will return here for my next colonoscopy.

I've had Dr. Yang for about 10 years, my husband also sees him. He is kind and knowledgable, I highly recommend him.

This review of Doctor Yang is not positive. My experience was so bad that I could not recommend him. I saw him several years ago for abdominal pain. I told him I thought the pain might have been caused by a phenolphthalein overdose I had a long time ago. (A co-worker had slipped me a large phenolphthalein laxitive overdose)At first, he seemed personable, but then he bacame more rude to me. He said the overdose didnt cause my chronic pain, and that my problems were mental.He also told me that I should not look things up on the internet. Information I looked up on the internet said phenolphthalein can cause liver damage. I have elevated liver enzymes. Yet he said it was all in my head.Doctor Yang seems intelligent and well educated. However in my case his attitude seemed to prevent any positive result from the visits. It was a waste of time for me.
