Dr. Donato J Santangelo III, MD

Being a patient of Dr Santangelo has become very frustrating. If you call the office, you get a message stating if it’s an emergency call 911 and if not try your call again later! No one answers the phones and there is no way to leave a message! I have been calling for 2 weeks all during the course of the day and still cannot get anyone to answer. This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever come across at any doctors office. Obviously this is a doctor that does not care about his patients which is why I am leaving after many years to go to someone else. Do yourself a favor and stay away fro this practice!

Trying to call this office is s joke. You have to leave a message and someone will call you back....which they don’t do quickly. And the girls in the office are rude and nasty. When you do get an appt you have to wait a couple hours. Finally when you get to see him, he just refers you to another dr! If you have a headache, go to a neurologist. If you have joint pain, go to an orthopedic, if you have pain, pain management. No use having a primary dr like this. He does nothing for you.

As a physician, Dr. Santangelo is as good as they get. However, trying to get an appointment is very difficult. If you call outside of office hours, there is no way to leave a message or schedule an appointment. And if you call during office hours, the staff is often too busy. I was left with the impression that they are unfriendly and impatatient. We also had difficulty getting a prescription filled correctly. We made three phone calls to try and correct a script error made by one of the office staff. When that didn't work, I finally had to just drive to the office and speak to them in person to get it fixed. I don't know if the staff is overworked or just incompetent. It was very frustrating. I can't say enough about how great Dr. Santangelo is as a physician; but his staff...I just don't know what to make of them.

Doc is fantastic. You will need a few hours to sit in the office and wait to be seen. He spends quality time with you. The office staff is horrible and will yell at you if you do not understand their "office policy". Its like pulling teeth to get any answers. The office is in need of cleaning!
