Dr. Donella Renee Jenkins, MD

I had an issue with her not providing the service I paid for and she shut her business down without giving the procedure or refunding. I was telling co workers and one of them said, "wait is her name Donella Jenkins?" "She over charged and had horrible bed side manner." So good to know I'm not alone. She shouldn't be a practicing doctor.

I have never been treated so awful! I left the office totally crying. I requested to get a referral for a MRI due to a chronic lower back problem I have had. She asked "why" I relied "because I want to know what is wrong." I am NOT kidding, the woman then said to me "if you want to know what wrong, why don't you go to church and pray about it." I am seriously considering filing a complaint with the medical board. Awful experience!

Not worth my time waiting to see her. She walked out of the exam room midsentance as I was describing my symptoms, never to return. I finally told the medical assistant I needed to leave.

I have no complaints about Dr. Jenkins. I though she was excellent in all areas.

So far, haven't been able to get in touch with the office to get results on my tests. Thanks ever so much for making my weekend stressful.

This is the most uncaring Dr. I have ever met. She is the most RUDE Dr. I have ever experienced. She has no idea how to take care of the elder. She only how to give them sedative drugs. And then takes no responsibility for her actions. After reading other reviews this answers a lot. She does not listen to family members concerns about anything . She turns it back on the person that is taking care of there family member. And having 1 1/2 stars next to her name answers a lot too. It's about money for her not her patients.

I had an appt. today at the new office. All available parking spaces for Dr. Jenkins office are painted compact and back up to a building. I drive an SUV. I called the office to tell them I was in the lot and to ask if there were any larger spaces available. I ended up parking 4 blocks away. I guess I should have parked in another Dr. 's spot. Walked in 13 min late. Was told since I was 15 min late that I would need to reschedule. I said I didn't want to reschedule. At minimum I needed to renew my Rx. (There was one woman in the lobby waiting for the lab - no other patients). Dr Jenkins came out to the lobby and told me parking is not her problem and that I needed to reschedule and not to threaten her. She really expects me to reschedule after that? Parking issues Reschedule after 13 min/ no other patients anywhere Rude behavior in lobby in front of another patient I'm not a new patient...I HOPE I NEVER NEED TO RETURN!! ... And I will be a new patient for someone else.

I honestly never write reviews, but I can't help but hope that by writing this, I will prevent someone from dealing with everything I've dealt with from this doctor and her staff. I went in as a paying client with my own health insurance, and I was suffering from a yeast infection (TMI), but I knew this because I am prone to them. I wanted to resolve other issues in one visit, like a referral for a hormone test, as well as possibly a new birth control. No one asked me if I was on or had used any over the counter yeast medications prior to me seeing the doctor, this was red flag #1. The nurse who saw me first completely pre-judged and made the assumption I was on the state funded health care, so when I said I was interested in obtaining a referral for a hormone test, she told me that the state health care program did not cover that.... I made her aware I had my own coverage. The girl was looking at my chart!! But obviously not actually reading my information! This was red flag #2. The… nurse had me give a urine sample for the yeast test. Once I was seen by Dr. Jenkins, she completely disregarded the information I was giving her about my hormone issues and concerns, and rather than giving me a referral, because (and I quote), "he (the other dr) would think I was stupid (for not resolving on my own)"! So instead of hearing my concerns, she prescribed me a different birth control, which did not end up helping my issues. This was red flag #3! It actually gets worse.... Remember I'm in pain & agitation from my infection and seeking relief. At this point I've been in the doctors for about an hour, and no one has asked me if I've taken anything to relieve symptoms. I happened to have mentioned it while explaining how long I've had it going on, and then the doctor tells me she won't treat me because if she ran the test, there might still be medication present which could give incorrect results. Obviously I'm beyond frustrated at this point, and have been ripped off with my co-pay due to not getting ANY issues resolved at this appointment. Money I could have saved if the nurses or office staff asked the simple question of "have you used any medications or creams yet?". Red flag #4. Then I receive a bill.... What for? Who knows! I wasn't treated! So I examine it, and notice a PREGNANCY TEST from my urine sample is on the bill!! And although that portion was covered by my insurance, you only can claim so many to insurance, so I'm thinking, 1) they are ripping off the insurance carriers, and 2) what happens if in a month I really do need a pregnancy test?! And my insurance declines coverage of the same thing so close together! Overall, a very terrible experience! They also made it very difficult to speak with someone about the charges and to pay my bill. I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE anyone from going there!!

Dr. Jenkins is the least caring doctor I have ever been to and inflicted unnecessary fear in me. When I asked her to be more specific on an issue, all she said was that I could "talk to a specialist and discuss my options". It turned out to be nothing and all the stress she caused was for no reason. I have sinced moved on to another doctor and I suggest you do the same.
