Dr. Dong Hong Shong, MD

Please don't call that lady Michelle Dr. Luo, she is just a physician assistant!!! Rude front desk. They would cheat and confuse you by scheduling you with "Dr. Luo" instead of Dr. Shong without informing you.

There is a long wait, to be sure, however, when it is your turn Dr. Shong spends a good, long time (15-20 minutes) to discuss and evaluate your medical siyuation in light of your history.

My whole family are her patients. I was under her care for over 10 years. I like her because she is willing to answer my questions and her staffs are mostly helpful. Her office is always packed but this is very typical in Chinese doctor's office, especially in Flushing. The waiting time is 1 - 2 hour normally. This is painful to wait, I have to say. But I'm willing to wait since she is a good doctor. Also, she is willing to mail the medical reports to my parents after the blood tests as I told them my parents is having difficult to visit her office. Sometimes Dr. Shong use her off day to call me up to explain to me my parents' case. I really appreciate that!

the clinic is located in the center of Flushing, most of patients are Chinese, and non English speaking, it's hard for them to see the English speaking doctors, which is the main reason to make this place packed. You will spend an hour for seeing her 2 mins, and she will do blood testing and temperature taking again even it was done by her nurse 5 mins ago. don't expect her give you any accurate answers for the questions you ask her. Then after 2 mins she spent on you, before you make sure there is no more question, she jumped over to the other room for another patients, so you have to wait for her show up later again. if the older patient doesn't fully understand her, be ready for her insult, she can be very nasty. So far, I haven't seen how good for her medical skills, probably she s just good at study, finally graduated from the medical schools and became so called "DOCTOR", but I have to say she s lack of basic manners of being a doctor, no patience, no sympathy, and no… care...Please don't take risk of your life, bring this message to the ones you love, especially those non-English speaking people: Leave this doctor away, you will feel better.
