Dr. Donia Renee Shaw, MD

Just recently had interactions with Dr Shaw at Morristown medical center when I was scheduled for an induction. Dr Shaw was one of the five doctors from her practice that worked with me to during my hospital stay. Dr Shaw was the lucky one to make the executive decision to do a c section after days of complications with my cervix not dilating. Dr Shaw did a fantastic job with my c section and I was able to leave the hospital two days after surgery! I continue to feel good and my daughter, Everly is healthy and doing well. Can’t thank Dr Shaw enough for pushing for understanding my frustration regarding the lack of progress and advocating for me to have a c section after 4 days in labor. And lastly thank you for being the one to bring our daughter into the world soo safely!

I've seen her twice so far and every time she has no personality, she is not kind, and is very uncaring, especially if you have any questions. She reacts as if something is wrong with you if you have any questions at all. She doesn't explain anything at all. She wants to get in the room and out as quickly as possible. She is very rude. Everyone else in the practice is great. She really does not fit in in the practice.

I was neither impressed with Dr. Shaw's attitude, bedside manner or assistance in ironing out an issue with my mammo.

Only giving 1 star because I had to. Everyone I encountered in this office was less competent than the next and this includes Dr Shaw. She was probably the least competent person/doctor I have ever encountered. After having SEVERE periods to the point of passing out from LOW blood levels that caused extreme anemia, I began to receive infusions of iron once every 3 months for over a year. Telling Dr Shaw about the anemia and the heavy periods, her only advice was to get an IUD which I did. All the IUD did was make my anemia worsen and then eventually fall out. I called the office several times to tell them about the severe bleeding I was experiencing after having the IUD implanted, and no one cared. After the IUD fell out, I got an ultrasound to make sure it REALLY fell out and didn’t perforate my uterus. During the ultrasound multiple fibroids were found. I was told that they weren’t a concern and we should try inserting a new IUD. At this point I went to a new doctor who was VERY… concerned with the ongoing issues I was having and recently removed the fibroids. My new Dr., after hearing my story, was appalled that Dr Shaw did not do anything to help fix the severe symptoms I was having. After having the fibroids removed, I have not felt this well in years!

Dr. Shaw performed my laparoscopic hysterectomy. I had been suffering for years from painful menstruation. She performed the hysterectomy and I was up and about within 2 days. She was truly professional and I would highly recommend.

I am a person who has suffered from severe panic/anxiety for almost her entire life. So of course when I was faced with needing a hysterectomy you could only imagine what happened. I was referred to Dr Donia Shaw. I cannot cannot stress what a beautiful person she is and a remarkable doctor. Please believe me when I say do not hesitate to use her. She not only did a magnificent surgery but also is a beautiful person.

no bedside manner. physical examination not thorough. being a cardiac registered nurse I expected a better quality of healthcare from this doctor. Also, when ob questions were asked the doctors response was vague and she clearly did not want to give me the time of day.

I had the worst experience with dr Shaw. Such an uncaring person. Shows no emotion what so ever. Was in a lot of pain and didn't even blink an eye of concern or care. I walked out of the office very confused. Didn't explain what was wrong. She is terrible.

My daughter and I both went to this practice. The office staff is not nice. You are treated without respect and phone calls are not returned promptly. I like Dr Shaw but not enough to deal with the rude staff.

I had a terrible experience with the doctor and the office staff. I had surgery and needed a different pain medication. It took THREE days to have my phone call returned. It was recommended that I return in 2 weeks for a post op visit but they could not fit me in for a month! I have no answers to my questions regarding my condition. I have been left completely in the dark!
