Dr. Donn Latour, MD

NP said my spot of concern was nothing and I made a second appointment and PA said didn't look like but did a biopsy which showed basal cell carcinoma and best treatment would be MOHS. When I spoke to another PA asking how Dr LaTour knew to do MOHS, she said he looked at my picture and the biopsy report. I am now going through Plastic Surgery skin grafting. Practice is big and in-personal. Too much more to say.

I had been being treated by my primary physician for several months for what she believed to be a fungal infection. After aggressively treating it with no improvement, she referred me to dermatologist. I had previously been to this office for another procedure (not even going to talk about that at this time) and after trying to find a different doctor in the area, found there are none. So I went here. I waited about 20 mins past my appointment time in the lobby. I had to tell the person who took me back all the information about what was going on. When someone finally came in, they didn't have me undress at all and it was a female that appeared to be less than interested in what was going on. After telling her the same information she had me pull my side of my slacks down just a bit and she said that I had a fungal infection and needed to basically do the same thing that I had been doing for the last 6 months with no improvement. She was in the room less than 5 minutes and made me feel… very self conscious the entire time. I went to a doctor in Grand Rapids and she LOOKED at my skin and knew instantly that I have inverse Psoriasis. I suffered an additional 5 months for no reason other than the PA didn't take a minute to actually look at what I had. In less than a week on the proper meds for my condition, I am seeing improvement. Do NOT go here if you want to see an actual dermatologist.

This office suggested I have unnecessary surgery. I had a spot biopsy and came back melanoma. They suggested surgery next day so I did. The office was rude and doctors are not thorough with information. They said margins looked clear and they got it all on first surgery. But wanted to do another surgery to take larger spot the day I was supposed to get my stitches out and send me to UofM for more tests. So I found a second opinion and new doctor. It took their office 2 weeks of asking them to send my records to new place which didn't have any test results. Took few more weeks to get those results. They were dragging heels on sending my records and when my new doc sent them out they said I didn't need anymore surgeries and I'm clear of cancer. My experience with them is not good and they are Liars and will do unnecessary surgeries on patients. Very unprofessional and if u question things they are rude and make u cry. I suggest doing research before going here.

Found a pre cancer removed and then scheduled follow up apppointments

Identified my skin cancer easily & recommended treatment which I had a small surgery to remove.

Very professional. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Clearly explained my skin problem and the recommend treatement.

I hate coming to this office for skin surgery. They over book patients and the wait time is ridiculous. Last visit took 7 hours! I think this is very abusive especially for the elderly patients they see which is probably the bulk of their clientele. Wish I could find someone else!! This is the closest location for me.

I have never experienced such terrible medical care. I had Mohs surgery and it was a butcher job. The scar is terrible, and the stitching was done by a PA. We were told that we would have to wait for a little more than an hour for pathology and it was 4.5 hours. They had no plausible explanation and the other patients were having a similar experience all around us. The general feeling in the waiting room was frustration and anger. We saw PAs almost all of the time. People walk in and out of the examining room without introducing themselves so you really can't tell a doctor (if you ever saw one) from a custodian unless you ask. I will drive a long way to avoid this office in the future.
