Dr. Donna Margaret Bicknese, MD

She has been my internist for many years. She continues to be amazing in that she anticipates health issues and works with you to solve complicated problems. She spends time with you, listens to what you have to say and answers your questions. She is very professional yet remains warm, sweet, caring and reachable. She is at the top of my list of several fine doctors at North Shore.

She was very unprofessional talking bad about my back surgeon. When she was the one who recommended him. She also said some pretty bad things about Dr. Lerner who was my doctor for 28yrs. She is always like a half-hour late then when i wanted to discuss a serious problem I've been having, which was the main reason for my visit. She said she doesn't have time for that today she's too tired working 80hrs weekly n long commute home. But she ended up talking to me for 2 hrs about nothing that mattered. I left her office in tears. I also caught her in 2 silly lies which was shocking to me.

Dr. Bicknese is an angel. She will take all of her time to examine you, treat you, and fully explain your diagnosis and treatment plan. I have only experienced compassion, patience, and professionalism from her. She is my go too and my PCP. She answers emails/messages through Northshore Connect promptly. Dr. Bicknese diagnosed me with an ethmoid infection last time and actually pulled up a picture of your sinuses on Google. She explained the anatomy to me and the signs and symptoms. She made sure that the prescriptions that were given worked well with the medication I am on and I left fully informed about my diagnosis and treatment plan. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a PCP. She's so knowledgeable and you can tell she loves her job. I cant rave enough about her.

Before I found Dr. Bicknese, I had very little trust in doctors. She changed my whole perspective. She is extremely intelligent and works in partnership with me to try to find answers for what treating can sometimes be a complex mixture of health issues. I appreciate so much that if there a symptoms whose cause is not obvious, she is more than willing to research and try to find answers and possible solutions. She works very well with the specialty physicians who help me manage specific issues in their fields.

Very attentive and concerned. Genuinely cares about her patients. Terrific bedside manner. Explains everything in detail.

Yes if you see Dr Bicknese you will be waiting, but that's because she takes her time with her patients. If it wasn't for her my gallbladder would have erupted. I was in the hospital and she called numerous times asking them to perform a test on my gallbladder. The hospital staff performed the test just to shut her up and let me out of the hospital an hour later. No more then 3 hours later did I receive a phone call from a resident telling me I was a "ticking time bomb" and needed to be checked into the hospital right away. I had emergency gallbladder surgery the next day!!

The office staff are not good . They couldn't find my boyfriend's medication after numerous calls and proof that the medication was delivered to this office. Dr. B. thought i had pancreatic issues after pushing on me a few time, after many expensive tests, nothing showed up. I have waited for this doctor every time i have been to this office. At the last visit i was left in the treatment room for 45 minutes. I stuck my head out and they admitted they had forgotten me! I told dr. B that I thought i had a splinter in my finger and when she told me it was a wart, I began putting wart medication on it. After a while the splinter appeared and I pulled it out.Really ?

I love going to Dr. Bicknese office in glenview. She is so caring and attentive!
