Dr. Donna Marie Fox, MD

As a pharmacist that has worked in over 30 pharmacies across the state of Louisiana (as a retail pharmacist, hospital pharmacist, and clinical pharmacist assisting on round with an expert team of physicians), Dr. Fox is one of the most impressive physicians that I have come across in my career! I have never met her personally, but she frequently has prescriptions sent to my pharmacy. Her antimicrobial stewardship practices have impressed me beyond that of any other physician in the area. Dr. Fox personally calls my pharmacy to verify that the antibiotic of choice for the patient is available immediately and is appropriate for the patient. She involves the pharmacist in her decisions in prescribing the best drug with the most affordable cost to the patient with the easiest access to the medication (rather than having them wait for multiple days for a drug to be ordered by the pharmacy). She is always very pleasant to speak also. Thank you Dr. Fox for your impeccable work! I… recognize efforts Dr. Fox makes that are not often practiced by physicians, but do more for her patients than they will ever know! Her transitions of care aptitude is above and beyond. This is a skill that has enormous impacts on patients that is often absent from discussions regarding proper care for a patient because it takes place after the patient has left her office. I encourage all physicians to strive for Dr. Fox’s outstanding care by realizing their job of providing care isn’t finished once the patient leaves their office. Seeing that the patient is able to follow through with their care plan is critical to achieving the standards of health that the patient seeks. Dr. Fox is a prime example of how to do this successfully. This pharmacist and his entire team appreciate all of her work very much!

I am so grateful to Dr. Fox. We recently dealt with a scary mystery illness with atypical symptoms. Our GP misdiagnosed it and recommended a seemingly minor procedure, but we got a second opinion from Dr. Fox. She had concerns about the diagnosis and recommended a different kind of specialist. It turned out the procedure the GP recommended was not only unnecessary, but could have resulted in scarring or paralysis. Dr. Fox is knowledgeable, caring, and has great judgment. I am so grateful to have had her expertise when it really mattered.

My children have moved on into adulthood now, but recently my daughter and I were talking about how amazing Dr. Fox is. Throughout the years my son and daughter were growing up she was always on call to help when they were sick, at any time day or night. Her philosophies for care aligned well with those of my husband's and mine. She only prescribed meds when they were needed, and was careful to cover all bases when determining the source of a problem. She still is as concerned about our children as we are. I can't praise her highly enough for her devotion to the well-being of our children.

Dr. Fox listens, cares, and gives excellent patient care. She is our choice!

Dr. Fox has always gone above and beyond in caring for my two sons. We could not have asked for a better pediatrician! Her nurses and office staff are always kind and welcoming as well. Top notch medical care.

Dr. Fox has been seeing my kids for years and we love her! She is always available and takes her own call. She is always willing to do the research to get to the bottom of any challenges we may have and makes her recommendations based on best practice/research. Dr. Fox seems to be very invested in her patients and genuinely cares about her patients and their families.

Instead of offering advice in a kinder way, she'll tell you in a judgemental way even though you aren't doing anything wrong. She'll question you about the same things everytime and then tell you how wrong it is. You don't feel like this is someone on your side, you end up feeling judged and criticized.

Dr. Fox takes the time to get all the details and background. She treats our children as carefully and thoughtfully as if they were her own.

My kids LOVE Dr. Fox! She speaks to them about what's going on and makes them feel comfortable. She is so thorough at each exam and is sure to take her time answering all questions. Dr. Fox is always available to speak directly with her when the office is closed, which is amazing!! Her staff is so friendly and quick to respond. We've been with Dr. Fox since 2010 and are completely satisfied!
