I had experienced breast cancer about 20 years earlier. Had a couple of scares while under Dr. Manasseh's care. I finally decided on a prophylactic mastectomy. Dr. Manasseh told me the pros and cons. She did not push me in either direction, and was extremely supportive of ultimate decision.She has an excellent relationship with the plastic surgeon I used for reconstruction. It is clear that they respect each other enormously, work well together, and continue to compliment each other's work.Before surgery, Dr. M. asked if there was any prayer I wanted her to say or if she should say the one she usually used. I saw that as caring about me and being respectful of my own beliefs. I liked that she saw her work as part of a greater plan, rather than just mechanical/technical procedures. (I told her to go with whatever had been working for her - why mess with success?)I also liked that she sent me to the complementary medicine department before surgery to help me have other tools for quicker… recovery. I suppose that lots of surgeons have equal technical skill. Dr. Manasseh approaches her job as a caring involved person, and sees her patients as people, not just organs.Plan to spend time in her waiting room. It just means that she is trying to serve as many people as she can, as thoroughly as she can.

Dr. Manasseh is the best around. She truly cares and makes sure to rule out any possible issues that may occur. Her office is very well organized and even though you may have to wait a little bit, you know you are in good hands.

Through a very difficult ordeal I always felt I could count on Dr. Manasseh. Her compassion and knowledge and energy were all great from the start. From the first moment I met her I knew I was in good hands... she is a very special person and a wonderful doctor. I have had friends who have been treated by her as well and none of us can say enough about her skills as a surgeon and her caring as a person.
