I’ve been seen by many doctors over the years through Stony Brook and never had a problem until Dr. Donna Meltzer. She was extremely arrogant, rude and condescending. A disgrace to Stony Brook Hospital!

I saw her for a same day appointment when my regular pcp was not available. She listened carefully and I had the sense that she really cared about my health problem. I liked that she took the time to explain things to me. I wanted to make her my new pcp, but have to wait to get a appointment with her.

I've been a patient of Dr. Meltzer's for a couple of years, and she's probably the best primary care doctor I've had. She is extremely attentive and detailed in her examinations as well as personal clinical histories. I feel like I'm in great hands.

I have one of Dr. Meltzer’s patients for several years now..I should have added a review a long time ago. Dr. Meltzer is an amazing, brilliant practitioner. She is attentive to detail and takes the time to make you feel like you are her only patient. I know when I leave her office that I have received the best care and health suggestions possible. I highly recommend her!

Dr. Meltzer delivered my baby boy back in 1989 at SBUH, and she was incredible back then as well. Being a young mom (18), I was scared, and she was very comforting and caring. I don't know what I would have done without her! I'm so very happy to see that she is still practicing medicine!

I have seen this doctor for 3 visits. She figured out what was wrong on the first visit . Incredibly compassionate and respectful. I feel better every time I leave the office after an appointment with her. I wish I could say the same about the other doctors in the practice.

I feel incredibly lucky to have discovered Dr. Meltzer. She is very knowledgeable and is obviously very intelligent as well as empathetic. What a gem. What a find. I feel so lucky.
