Dr. Donna Maria Neale, MD

I was recommended for pre-pregnancy counselling with Dr. Neal. I was skeptical about this appointment, because I am very proactive, and had read a lot about my health and age as it relates to pregnancy. Dr. Neal was the best experience i have had with a Dr, and that says a lot given that i have an excellent primary care physician, and an excellent OB/GYN. Dr. neal spent almost an hour with me, explaining procedures, labs, tests etc before pregnancy, and through the pregnancy. She was so patient, and painted a whole picture of pregnancy and what to expect at every stage, when certain tests will be done, why, how etc. She assured me that we will work together to achieve the best outcome. she gave me the pros and cons of having a baby at my age, but also gave me hope that it could be done. She called me to follow up with lab results, and left the door open for further questions. She got on the phone to discuss follow ups with both my PCP and my OB/GYN. She is the best at what she does,… and I truely thank her and thank my PCP for the referral.

Dr. Neale is our perinatalogist. She is incredibly knowledgeable and speaks in clear terms. She is very friendly and reviews our history with every appointment, as well as provides us the next steps. She identified a little known disorder that could be affecting our pregnancies and has taken care to monitor us every step of the way. The office staff are incredibly sweet and helpful, as are the nurses. You really feel at home here at Howard County Hospital, where she is Director of Maternal and Fetal Medicine. I wish she was our OB too, but instead as a perinatologist she works as a team with our OB. Overall, this entire operation, and Dr. Neale herself are Class Acts -- I give 100% A++++ and I would recommend her to anyone who has had complications with pregnancy.
