Dr. Donna Alane Richey, MD

As others have said, somewhat dismissive, not the best listener. She is “old-school” - which I like - doesn’t ultrasound you every time you turn your head but relies more on history and presentation. Unfortunately, these methods don’t work too well if you’re not listening to the patient either. She’s ok, just not 5-Star quality.

She is wonderful and helped me through 4 pregnancies. I constantly recommend her to all of my friends.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Richey's and her office. I delivered two babies through them and went through all the appointments and up and down of a pregnancy.Anne and Isabelle are outstanding.

My initial experience was good. Some months later, I ended up having a miscarriage, and was really disappointed with how she treated me at my last appointment. I had no real explanation given to me, as to what may have caused it. She basically examined me and said it happens sometimes, and that was it! I was dumb founded. She gave no input as to if I should worry about this happening again, or what she would do to monitor me the next time...I asked her and she had no answers. My sister had refered me to her, and came along for that last visit and she too was in shock by Dr. Richey's cold bedside manner. I was in tears. Needless to say I made an appt with another OBGYN that week and was handled with great care, and left feeling knowledgable, reassured and at ease.

I have had two children delivered by Dr. Richey. She is mellow and patient and has a wonderful way of easing any fears. Her office staff is great and I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes in the waiting room.

She is fantastic!!!!!!! I just love her, she listen to my concerns and made me feel at easy when I was concern on issues with my pregnancy. I would recommend Dr. Richey to everyone.

I've had 3 children, and with my last I chose Dr. Richey as my OB. I always got the feeling that the doctor was on another planet when I was in her office. Didn't strike me as a very good listener. Pretty cold bedside manner. Very uncomfortable trusting her as my doctor. Of all the OBs I've been to in my life (and I've been to quite a few), Dr. Richey probably ranks as one of the lowest on the totem pole.
