Dr. Donna Ann Saatman, MD

Not only was Dr. Saatman very welcoming she is also an excellent doctor. I am glad that she is that doctor I was referred to to handle my low back pain issues.

I had neck surgery in 2006. Dr Saatman, took great care of me and very compassionate. I am writing this review now, because it looks like i need another Surgeon to look at my neck for more issues, and Dr Saatman is the first doctor i thought of who i am going to contact for this appointment. Thank you Doctor

Can't believe the quality of care I was given at Florida Surgery Consultants. Dr. Saatman spent over an hour with me and did not even recommend surgery.

I was recommended by a family member to see Dr. Saatman for back pain after a fall at work. She took her time to explain my diagnosis and to delineate a treatment plan that would work with my schedule. There is a wait to see her however I am very pleased with the results.

She does not respect patients time,, made me wait for more than an hour beyond my appointment time

I have suffered with back pain for years which is consistently getting worse. After xrays and an MRI the tests revealed arthritis, bulging disk and stenosis. Dr. Saatman's PA was wonderful, reviewing and listening at my first visit. After the test results were in I saw Dr. Saatman for the first time. She did not show me the test results, just stated it was arthritis and gave me a textbook/website answer with no help or course for treatment. (I obtained my own report from the website). End of story. I had to ask, would PT help? What is the best course of pain relief? She offered no guidance on what to do or not do to help. She said I can order PT if you want and do you want a follow up visit? Do you care about a patient who has daily pain to help and explain what would help? Isn't that what doctor's do? One month later, no PT ordered. Will be seeking a second opinion with someone who cares.

During the summer of 2018, I fell in another city and received a compression fracture of my spine, L 2. I saw a doctor in NYC, who misdiagnosed my problem, and gave a cortisone injection. Still in tremendous pain in my spine and down my left leg, I returned home and went to the ER at Brandon Hospital and was treated and diagnosed. There, the ER physician got in touch with Dr. Saatman at my request since my primary Dr was out of town on vacation. Dr. Saatman's office kindly got me in for an MRI in a timely fashion and saw me within the week even though she did not yet know me. Dr. Saatman was on time in my appointment and very efficient and straight forward with my diagnosis She gave me the choices for my treatment and allowed me to make decisions yet was honest in her assessment. I scheduled a Kyphloplasty for the following week and was immediately so happy with my decision. I have suffered no more pain since my surgery period. Six weeks post surgery, I walk at least a mile a day… and feel better than prior to this accident. I am 72 years old and I am so thankful for the care of both Dr Saatman and of Michael, her Nurse Practitioner. Both are truly committed to the patient for healing and well being.
