Dr. Donna Lynn Shine, MD

I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant. I have to be seen twice weekly until birth. Last week was my first time seeing Dr. Shine. When asked by her if I had any questions I asked her “how many people can I have in the room with me while I deliver” (due to Covid restrictions). She starts going on a rant about china putting out viruses against us for the past two years and how she did a mission trip years ago to help the inferior Muslims. She talked about them spending the money that was donated to build gold mosque blah blah blah. My husband and I were in such shook at what she was saying and not answering my question at all. We both got up and walked out of the room. I’m scared she’ll be the one on call when I deliver my child and don’t want her spirit or energy near my child!!

New to Knoxville and was referred to Dr. Shine. She was amazing! Will definitely be going back to her when the time comes.

Dr. Shine has been my gynecologist since I was in my 40's. She has been a good counselor throughout routine and acute medical issues. I appreciate the quality of care she has given.

I have been going to Dr. Shine since she took over after Dr. Kaplan retired. She had braids back then and looked like a kid. She is a good woman's doctor. She will listen, she will help you if you will follow her advice.

I am lucky to be alive after seeing Dr. Shine in the ER at Fort Sanders Regional. She place a Foley cathethter, but failed to remove the cap from the drainaiage valve. 1200 cc's of urine backed up into my bladder and kidneys. This seems like a rookie mistake that an intern would not make. I would not recommend this person to anyone.

Dr. Shine always makes me feel at ease and very comfortable, which considering the awkwardness of the field is hard to find! I love her and her partners!

Courteous and professionally thorough. Doesn't rush through the appointment. Is friendly as is the office staff. All are pleasant and warm.

Love her! She just tells it like it is and I find that very refreshing.

I have been going to Dr. Shine for 16 years. She is the best doctor that I have ever dealt with. If I could go to her for all medical problems I would.
