Dr. Donna Ann Wall

My daughter was being treated at Children's Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. Immediately after she was admitted, my husband and I were told by a nurse that there is a high death rate at that particular facility of children with cancer. We were in the unfortunate situation of having Dr. Wall care for our daughter who had leukemia. I was very unhappy with her on several occassions. She was very inconsiderate, definitely did not know how to use tact; and most of all, I feel that she did not treat my daughter properly. My daughter passed away in 2007 after receiving a bone marrow transplant. To this very day, I still wonder if the bone marrow took, what went wrong, etc. It was very strange to me that Dr. Wall all of a sudden was on leave from her job duties shortly after my daughter received her transplant. Then, to my amusement, I hear that she retired from working at Children's Methodist. That is a wonderful thing; because I actually feel that had my daughter been under the care… of another doctor, she probably would still be with us. I know that God is in control of everything; however, Dr. Wall did not help my daughter's situation at all. It is very scary to know that such a high rate of children pass away while they are under the care of a certain physician or hospital. How sad! My daughter is gone; but hopefully, this will help another child and parent in the same situation that I found myself in for the year 2007.
