Dr. Donnie Joe Holden, MD

Would give negative stars if could. Dr. Holden was belittling and forgetful, to say the least. After giving my medical history and speaking in detail about this, we went on to speak about my current medical issues. He ordered labs and a follow up appointment to go over the labs. To sum it up... literally not one part of my medically history included what my actual medical history IS!! And when I came back for the follow up, he never spoke about the labs, so I did, and he said he didn't remember anything about that so he'd check in to it. Needless to say, my labs were never found, but I got billed for them. That was the most ridiculous situation I've ever been in. I'll never go back. That Doctor needs to retire so so badly.

I heard excellent reviews for Dr Holden for several years actually from former and current patients but I never followed up until my PCP set up a referral for me to see him I spoke with Adonia first and she was very helpful and friendly and then she took me to see Dr Holden and after 5 minutes, I already knew that if I was ready to get serious about getting better then they were going to do their darndest to help me heal. Dr Holden was honest,straight forward and he was kind and understanding. He listened to everything I said and never once tried to rush me. He asked me about my past experiences and then he told me what he wanted to start me on and why. He and Adonia both are friendly, efficient and they both made me feel like I was important to them instead of being all formal and distant. With over 35 years in Psychiatry, he has seen and dealt with more than any other psych doctor around here. You can go to school and get a degree but everyone knows that actual experience is where… you learn everything. They moved to the Bentonville office right in the middle of a pandemic where more and more people needed help and I know that it's been tough trying to transition and every day the office administrator Randy is doing the work of 4 people and I can tell he's stressed out but he is very helpful and friendly and knowledgeable! I couldn't be happier!

Doesn’t seem to listen to what’s going on with your health issues !

Dr Holden lied to me about saying there is a key that I can't get a certain med. I knew he was lying because I had already contacted dea about it. All he oresctwas Seroquel.

I have been going to psychiatrist for over 25 years. This is the first one who ever read what I wrote about myself and knew who I was before he talk to me. I am now on very good medication and I am the happiest I have ever been in my whole life. He is an excellent man good character and I pray that his practice continues and he helps more people.

I've had ridiculous issues getting prescriptions refilled by him, causing me to have to cut down or discontinue medication that is dangerous to cold turkey, due to his screws ups and nothing that I've done wrong.

Receptionist at front desk was very helpful. Can give a helping hand when things are hard, gives relief when most needed. I think anyone that visits this clinic needs to have their head examined.

How can you trust reviews from clients ? I seen him and I'm still nuts. Christian values, is he helping the homeless ? Marriage counseling, LOL, don't even need to go there. Dude is getting old, maybe office people making good reviews, should be retired by now if managed money well. Springdale area full of nuts, so we need all the help can get.
