Dr. Dora P Barnes, MD

Dr. Barnes has been my family doctor for years. She is very compassionate, knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely recommend her services if your are in the tri-state area.

super rude ,no bedside manner .

Dr. Barnes has no "bedside" manner at all. I saw her 3 times and 3 times she never warmed up. She has no patience at all. She kicked me out of her office, for no reason other then she is a bit crazy. I was there for Thyroid medication refill as I had none left which she knew. She is a BAD doctor and in my opinion should not remain in practice. I filed a complaint with UHC. AND found a really nice compassionate doctor.

I will NEVER set foot in her office again! Not only did she charge me copays TWICE that I was never supposed to pay, she put through the two visits as sick visits to make more money off of me because she knew my insurance didn't cover it 100% that way. I went there for a physical and test results which is all 100% covered but she wants to be greedy. I have been trying for THREE WEEKS to get in touch with someone in billing and not one of my phone calls were ever returned. And their answer is "she's not here right now I'll take a message." The second time I went, I was stuck waiting for 2.5 hours just for results because they "forgot" to write down FOUR appointments in the books! She diagnosed me with a heart murmur and high blood pressure and sent me for all these tests which were negative and I had three other opinions and they all told me she was wrong. She answers her cell phone in the middle of an appointment and makes you wait because the ton of phone calls she gets are clearly… more important than her patients. I strongly advise you find another doctor instead of putting yourself through this.
