Dr. Dora Marina Johnson, MD

I saw Dr. Johnson for two years in attempt to regulate my thyroid and PCOS. Neither were ever regulated, her fees are astronomical (I spent nearly $30,000) and she does not accept insurance. She put me on so many medications I couldn't keep them straight. Compounded medications, numerous tests, even told me I have a genetic defect which I later found through independent tests I do not have. I give her one star because she gives very thorough breast examinations.

Dr Johnson is the most thorough Doctor I have ever experienced. She is incredibly knowledgeable and tenacious about helping you resolve your health issues. I also like the fact that her recommendations are all based on workability (most are natural as well) and not based on drug company marketing.

I went to her knowing she does not take insurance. Her fees are outrageous. She will make sure you are taken off every prescription med you are on, in order to buy her own homeopathic meds. She billed me for labs as well as the lab company. I am still fighting to get back the $6,800 owed to me. That was my price of my first and only visit. She needs to retire. At the age of 70, there were a lot of repetitive questions in her office.

Expensive but got me all fixed up!

Dr. Marina Johnson is an amazing, caring Doctor. She has done wonders for me and my husband and all our friends that we have sent to her. She will make you feel and look like a 20 year old!!

I've been a patient of Dr. Johnson's for about 5 years now. I've gone from fat to fit, depressed and anxious to happy and content and lethargic to energetic--all under her care and with her program. Expensive, yes; but more than worth every dime. The underlying cause of my conditions are evident now, and treated, not just the symptoms. Not for everyone; a huge commitment both time and money, is necessary and you have to be willing to make it; if you can't then you won't be happy. If you can and do, you will reap the rewards.

Dr. Johnson is far and away the most thorough and helpful doctor I have ever worked with. I had a chronic GI condition for several years and saw multiple specialists for this condition with no relief. It had become so routine for me to have GI issues that I almost forgot to mention them to her on my first visit! Dr. Johnson treated the condition and it has completely resolved. I feel better than I have in years - better than I would have thought possible.She takes a comprehensive history and does a thorough exam so that she has a very complete picture of the patient's health. She will treat with lifestyle changes (nutrition, physical activity, etc) and supplements when appropriate and with pharmaceuticals when needed. She is very careful with the type and amount of medication she prescribes.If you're looking for someone to give you a pill to mask your symptoms, Dr. Johnson is probably not for you. If you're looking for a physician who will take the time to gain a complete picture of… your health and work with you to treat existing conditions and prevent future illness - to help you become truly healthy - I cannot recommend Dr. Johnson highly enough.

Dr. Marina Johnson gets "A++" on many accounts... First: I come from a doctor's family (father was a surgeon, mother was an internist) and I was raised around medical students, residents, interns, nurses, administrators, etc -- I've seen the best and the worst --I have a special sensitivity because of that background. Dr. Johnson is the most caring, thorough and experienced physician I've ever met. Second: I'm a scientist by training (PhD Physics) and I am extremely impressed with Dr. Johnson's knowledge and how broad her area of expertise is... she is up to date on the latest research and is a first class contributor to the medical literature. Her recent book on menopause in women, representing decades of research, is a *must read* (for men as well as women). She presents all the data without bias (no allegiance to any pharmaceutical vendor) and discusses the pros and cons of various treatments relying solely on her extensive experience with hundreds of patients and her… determined search for the truth! She's a true scientist and one of the most dedicated professionals I've ever met.Dr. Marina Johnson has my highest recommendation!

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Marina Johnson for 12 years. She is the most thorough and professional physcian that either of us have ever been around. Most physicians give you 10 minutes max but usually only 5 minutes. The average office visit for Dr. Johnson is 30 minutes to an hour. She is meticulous in her health evaluations and truly knows and cares about her patients health. We have recommended her to a number of friends who were experiencing health issues that their doctors were unable to treat successfully. In virtually every case she was able to help them resolve their health issues by focusing on the underlying cause and not just treating symptoms. She is a medical "Sherlock Holmes". She is at the top 1% of her profession.
