Dr. Doris Elaine Ford, MD

My wife was admitted to Regional on a Saturday evening because of weakness and fatigue. She was examined by a excellent emergency room doctor. After the examination she was given a unit of blood because her blood count was just over 7 that should have been around 15. He admitted her to the hospital. They gave her two more units of blood and checked her blood counts frequently to see is her blood count was holding. Lab took her blood count at 4:30 am Monday. Then enters Dr Ford at 6pm Monday night and she stated that my wife's problem with weakness was due to urinary track infection not a bleed and not having Sufficient blood supply. Average blood level is 14 to 15 not 7.5. It's a shame that someone can spend 12 years in school and 4 years of college and then medical school and be so bad at their trade. I would not let this women treat my neighbors dog, let alone a family member. Regional hospital, emergency, and nurses were great but Dr Ford needs to go she's dangerous.

Dr. Ford was the doctor who made rounds while my husband was a patient at Regional Hospital. While he was explaining his medical history issues to her, he was abruptly cut off by her and was told that she didn't have time to listen to his medical history as she had too many other patients to see that day. A health care provider (HCP) who loses sight of the fact that pt. care includes LISTENING to pts' concerns and answering questions about their condition, is WORTHLESS!! Btw, I am a HCP!

I saw Dr. Ford at Quickcare today and was so impressed. She was thorough, kind and compassionate. I am hoping to make her my primary doctor. Thanks Dr. 5 stars.
