Dr. Dorothy Laiping Wong, MD

My husband is a patient of Dorothy Wong for over two years. 2017 my husband had and ultra sound done was ordered by Dr. Wong, the results came back as not good needed further treatment, my husband wasn't notified about those results for over two months. It was upsetting and the response from the doctor was I have over 3,000 patients, we were shocked, but we followed up with my husbands treatment with a specialist in San Diego. Another episode took place about 6 months ago, my husband stopped taking one of his diabetic medications it was too expensive, he notified the office to let them know he couldn't afford it and asked for a generic brand they never called him back. The follow up visit he was able to get a coupon and get his medication. The office staff is very friendly, helpful and courteous, I am not impressed with the Nurse, I felt they should have made some of those phone calls. My husband chose Dr. Wong and has decided to stay under her care.

Compassionate, keeps up with medical knowledge, concerned about her patients, takes time to explain her diagnosis and proposed treatment. The best!

I think the previous comment might have some personal issues with McDonald's(racist towards spanish?), but the front desk staff is always very courteous. I've worked in that position before, and trust me when I say we were always blamed for appointments running late even though we weren't the ones responsible. Maybe someone needed a happy meal, haha. Excellent office care and attention from Dr Wong, and worth the wait.

Dr. Wong is amazing. She has been my doctor for years, I happen to be probably the YOUNGEST patient she see's by about 35 years but her bedside manner and professionalism is definitely amazing. She takes the time to talk to me, she knows my background etc. Her nurse/medical assistants are also very kind, approachable and knowledgeable. The BAD side is the front desk, I am courteous to a fault but they are always chatting away, I know that appearances rarely match reality in regards to productivity but I really wish they wouldn't sound like they'd rather be working at a McDonalds then at a medical practice. I usually have to wait around 15 minutes in the waiting room followed by 30-60 minutes in one of the examination rooms before I can see the doctor.

Very kind and professional. Very good Dr., however, my stack of medical records never made it into my chart and no notations were made of my diagnoses from other Drs. Excessive charges for medical records. Where exactly are my records that were misplaced?!?

Dr. Wong works really hard to zero in on my health issues. She is very competent and caring and I have referred others to her with no reservations.
