Dr. Doru I E Georgescu, MD

We found Dr. Geourgescu to be arrogant and seemed annoyed having to answer questions. He even dismissed another doctors opinion which turned out to be correct. His examination table had bands of duct tape covering the cracks in the vinyl. He charged us for a "procedure" which was not explained and we were surprised to receive a bill for in the mail. His examination of the problem lasted less than 10 minutes the rest of the 30 minutes were spent talking with his financial person about how we were going to pay him. We decided on another doctor and hospital. NOT RECOMMENDED at all in any sense. Watch out for surprise billing.

He refused to answer our questions after keeping us waiting for over an hour. He was also very disrespectful to other physicians involved in my care.

Dr. Georgescu is a fabulous doctor, he saved my life. I weighed 280 pounds, very much a homebody and embarrassed to go out. Two years ago Dr. Georgescu performed my surgery and gave me the tools to loose and the knowledge to maintain this 115 pound weight loss. Now I am out doing things and seeing people again. I love seeing Dr. Georgescu and the staff at my regular appointments they are friendly, intelligent and encouraging.

I have had two anterior approach spinal surgeries in my life, and Dr. Georgescu has been the surgeon who did the approach (exposing the spine) in both instances. The first one was about 12 years ago, so I can't comment on my experience then very well. However, I just had my second surgery only 4 weeks ago, and I must say that he is the most thorough, competent, professional and caring surgeon that I have ever met (along with my spine surgeon)...and I have had 9 spine surgeries in my life. He took great care to thoroughly explain and make sure that I understood the procedure and the risks involved. Just before the procedure, he came in again to assure me, introduce himself to my spouse and make sure that she understood and all our questions were answered. During my stay in the hospital, he visited me several times to check on my progress and see if I was alright. He was even there the morning of my discharge to wish me well. Thank you Dr. Georgescu.

A diagnosis of breast cancer is never easy, and surgery is not eagerly anticipated. Dr. Georgescu made me feel so welcomed, cared for, and comfortable with what he was going to do for me surgically--before, during, and after.His staff members are fabulous. They are courteous, kind, and conscientious.I highly recommend Dr. Georgescu for surgical procedures. As a doctor, he works with more kindness and caring than I have observed in many other medical personnel.Excellent, excellent doctor!

My experience with Dr. Georgescu and his office staff has been excellent. The office staff all are very helpful and scheduling appointments, both with Dr. Georgescu and for surgery, were extremely easy. Dr. Georgescu made all information easy for us to understand and made sure that all family members were involved.
