Double books patients so the wait any time after the first couple is at least an hour. Doesn't communicate with his sec'y. Has nurse relay all information which contradicts what was said in the visit.

Dr Totoian has been my doctor for as long as I have lived in Oregon, which is about 18 years. He is a very kind, sweet man who responds to people according to their personalities. He was pleasant and funny with my late husband, but serious with me. He is a very intelligent man, although he sticks pretty much to his specialty. He communicates according to what he thinks you are capable of understanding. I have no intention of changing doctors.

This physician, in my opinion, is no better than seeing a veterinarian for your health needs. He does NOT listen to patient concerns, spends no more than 10 minutes with the patient, has surly staff, is over-booked, and is unavailable to assist hospital staff with life-threatening emergencies that require his input. I would not recommend him to anyone. EVER.

One of the most caring and competent physician I have ever met

I am a RN and have been one for 5 years. I am currently the most disatified I have ever been with a physician. That is a very strong statement with keeping in mind the physicians I have dealt with. To explain in basic detail, my mom was in a hospital for 15 days and I never talked to Dr.Totian located in Roseburg one time. Not once! To top it off he told the SW that he thought the communication was fine and that my confused, drowsy, and memory challenged mother could reiterate all information given to her. This caused extreme delays in care and incredibly disatified family members.

This doctor has a pattern of terminating patients from his practice if they miss two visits, even if it is over a long period of time and the patient has memory related health problems and/or disabilities. It does not matter if the person needs a doctor or not, he just does not care.He has his staff call you and tell you because he does not even have the integrity to be straight. The staff tells you the doctor did not give them a reason, but they why because it happens over and over again. What does this say about the staff's integrity.
