Dr. Douglas Arthur Allen, DO

I had been to 3 other gynecologists. He was the only one that diagonsed me correctly. He spent time with me and made me feel that I was the only one in the world. He gave me my life back!

Dr Allen is a kind man and I'm sure he's great at delivering babies but I would not recommend him for any other surgery. I nearly died because of internal bleeding after surgery and had complications for several months after my surgery. The complications seemed to lead to other issues for several weeks and I ended back up in the hospital 1 more time and the ER 2 more times and had to see many other specialists. All because of a incompetent surgery.

Dr. Allen delivered my beautiful little girl. Throughout my pregnancy he answered every single question I had, no matter how ridiculous it may have been. My pregnancy ended up going past my due date and I had to be induced. He was very caring and understanding and helped me feel comfortable in a terribly uncomfortable time. I had a fairly long labor and delivery, about 20 hours total, and Dr. Allen stayed at the hospital the entire time and frequently came it to check on me and baby. The truth is, he cares about his patients. You don't find many doctors like that around anymore.

Best doctor I have ever had. I had my baby less than 3 weeks after moving to Utah and hadn't even met Dr. Allen before that night. It was an emergency c-section and the baby was premature. Dr. Allen was amazing. He sat down on the edge of my bed and said "I trust the mother's instincts. What do you think we should do?" before proceeding with the c-section. That meant a lot-that he cared what I thought. After major complications due to my pre-eclampsia I was in his office once a week for 6 weeks post delivery, so I got to know him quite well. He always greeted me by name, seemed to really know who I was and really seemed to care. He is quite and kind and compassionate and I would recommend him to anyone and everyone!

Highly recommend! He is an awesome dr. Always took his time. Never felt rushed or stupid. I had some issues and he personally called me to check up on me. I saw him every appointment and wanted him to deliver. He came on his day off. And he checked up on me the next day and he wasnt on call at the hospital. He went above and beyond. He is an awesome doctor whom I felt confidant with. Great staff. Great doctor.
