Dr. Douglas Stephan Anders, DO

This doctor also has an office in Beaumont, California. I had scheduled an appointment to be seen by him for the first time. I arrived on time. Had to schedule transportation through my health plan since my transportation was not available. My health plan was aware of this appointment and they had even sent me an ID card with this doctor's name on it as my new doctor. When I got there, the receptionist was very unprofessional and cold and I could tell she had no experience in dealing with patients or working in medical offices. She gave me a form to fill out and asked me for some identifying documents and insurance card. I gave her the documents, she checked the computer and said that Dr. Anders was not authorized to treat me. I showed her the ID card from my health plan showing Dr. Anders' name on it as my doctor and she said that the computer showed the name of my old doctor and that Dr. Anders could not see me. I had ran out of my house without my cell phone and I asked her to use… the phone to call my health plan. She said they had a policy that they did not allow patients to use the phone. I asked her if she could call my health plan to get their authorization over the phone and she said she was not authorized to call anyone for the patients. I then asked to speak to an office manager or the doctor and she said the office manager was not available and she would ask the doctor. She then came back and said that the doctor had confirmed what she had just told me and that the doctor had said that I could call from home. I was shocked at her attitude and the doctor's attitude toward me, a new patient, and left the office. They wasted my morning and a round trip from my health plan's transportation. I would advise all potential patients of this doctor to seek medical treatment elsewhere. I will never go back to this office. My experience there was horrible!

Dr. Anders is the kindest and most compassionate physician that I have ever met. He spends time with you to discuss your health and let's the patient be part of the treatment plan. I highly recommend Dr. Anders for your primary care needs.

Dr Anders is a very caring individual. I not only like him as a Dr, I like him as a loving person who gives his all to his patients. He never rushes the visits and always asks if there is something else he can do for you.

Dr. Anders respects and listens to his patients. I like that he encourages the use of holistic medicine and works with me on my concerns about certain medications and my desire to be medically treated through more natural/herbal strategies whenever possible. I also like it that his office has an online portal where you can communicate with the doctor or his staff any time you have a concern.

Always spends a lot of time with me and never seems like he is in a rush. Does not mind my numerous questions. Very friendly doctor! Doesn't ramble.
